City Players who came from Non League.
A bit of excitement concerning Ollie Tanner, It's a massive jump, but who knows...
I can think of three who came straight from Non league and did brilliantly for us.
Cohen
Bartlett
Delaney
Any more?

Didn't realise that Hereford had been away for so long. I'll raise you a Rhys Healey.

George Andrews came with Gary Bell from Lower Gornal Athletic, just checked on George, 21 goals in 43 appearances, not too shabby at all. The emergence of Tosh, also Bobby Brown & Georgie Johnston at the club may have pushed him down the pecking order but what we wouldn’t give for a striker with that goal to game ratio now.

If we're just talking about players who came from non-league as opposed to those who actually did well, you can have Jamie Hughes.

Yup, all types, as long as they made an appearance (my rules :hehe:) remember him? looked like he'd been brought up on micro chips and fish finger sandwiches.

Re: City Players who came from Non League.
Neil O’Halloran came from Cardiff Corries, scored a hat trick in his debut against Charlton in the top flight while still a teenager........then faded from the pro game after a few more games for us, and one more goal, went to Newport for a short spell. Mostly remembered for his prosperous firm Erection & Welding and his bankrolling of Barry Town. The rewards for a fledgling business man were more attractive than for a first division footballer in the ‘50s perhaps. He certainly made his fortune.

Didn't he score 4 against Cambridge in a 5 4 win (I think) or was it a loss

You did indeed. My bad for not spotting it.
I once sat next to George Andrews and Bobby Ferguson at a Wales v Scotland game 1966 in Radio Ninian. Even though my mate and i I were probably annoying teenagers he signed my programme and got Bobby Ferguson to sign it as well. Nice bloke.
