Re: Just back from a night out at the park pub , Barry
My favorite pub. Although, not what it used to be.
-
Re: Just back from a night out at the park pub , Barry
Usually a good crowd. Don't mind that pub at all. I still prefer the Billy though for just going for a pint in. Feel more at home there. Wouldn't be any good for chasing the lady's there either mind Sludge mate. You can have a good laugh tho.

You can have a laugh down there on the main road mate. Chips when its kicking out time. Plenty of choice. Usually something happening. Barry is a good night out for a laugh. Not far from you as well. It's the busy end of town there. I knocked about the other side usually. Lock ins n that. You enjoy it in Barry Mate?

I do a lot of fishing round Barry and I think it's a great town , it's a lot smaller than Cardiff but it's got the sea and everything you need and I have to say some very fit women

Yes, though it's called Gordon Bennett's now. Horatio's or Habana's shut down for a while but had a refurb and is now a sports bar called The Baruch arms. Nothing over Barry Island these days apart from Finnegans pub ( The Old Acropolis)

Re: Just back from a night out at the park pub , Barry
Until reading this I had no idea that The Park had descended in to a snog a dog joint, and with it become off limits for decent, respectable folk.

Re: Just back from a night out at the park pub , Barry
I thought I had misread the title as
Just back from a night out dogging in the pub car park, Barry.
When I saw the thread starter, I thought, maybe I was right first time.
:hehe:

Have you tried signing up to internet dating sites like Plenty of Fish? I haven't but understand there's scrubbers galore advertising on them. From singles to those seeking extra-marital nookie. Many just require their gearbox servicing; no dining required or cajoling them to throw more wine down their necks so as to make it easier to rugby tackle them to the ground once they hit the fresh air.

The Marine..that's it. It was dying off when I was in town. A relic in a way Surely the Club further up the road is till doing weddings/engagements and the odd wake? Jackson's Bay is/was class place to be when the sun was out. Plus them houses walking up around the bend with a sea view.. How much would they be worth now. Nice 1 boss.

Re: Just back from a night out at the park pub , Barry
The Academy is now the place to be in Barry.
Lovely waterfront setting, plenty of beardy cool barstaff and over 2 beers to chose from.
Seriously though. Very nice place.

Where is that? the waterfront/dock? over 2 beers you say. Times waits for no man. Seems like yesterday that I had my head on the bar in Quids Inn.

Yes Barry Island Cons or Sports and social club is still going. So many other pubs/clubs in town like The Admiral, The Windsor. Caddy Royal, Three Bells, Barry Dock Cons, Dockers Club,Services Social and The Paget have gone in the last 5 to 10 years.:frown:
