Re: 9,786 Hull Fans today
Hull is a big city and for many years were the biggest city not to have had a top flight team
Now the locals just seem bored

9,782 by the end of the match😁 A shockingly poor turnout from the locals.

Their fans are actively boycotting the club because of ownership.

Re: 9,786 Hull Fans today
A prime example of a team that hasn't built up a regular large fan base used to going for many years. We're the same. Swansea another. Teams used to having large crowds, like Newcastle, Villa, Norwich barely saw a drop in attendances when they went down.

That it's not a shockingly poor turnout, it's a fully expected low turnout being that they're boycotting the club

To be fair, our core support is pretty good

It is building, though I have little doubt it would drop if we were in a relegation battle.

Swansea had 16000 in a game that would have seen them go top if they won.
That after the start they have had yer their support is holding up.
When are the council extending the ground?

Didn't realise that. Apparently they had 7000 'through the doors' against Blackburn.

There’s 2 options.
Are we tossing a coin?
I’m dense yet you can’t answer a basic question.

Re: 9,786 Hull Fans today
There was an article about 15 years ago in the Echo with the Hull chairman going in about how they had built their support up as a Community Club and that it would stand their club in good stead for generations and that clubs like Cardiff should follow.
That worked out well.
Biggest worry for me these days is that our Family Stand seems to be getting sparser and sparser. Ninian and Canton always fullish but compared to 7/8 years ago the Family Stand must be down thousands

I suppose it all hinges on the consensus of what defines the terms "mid table" and "just over two years ago". Hull finished 13th last year, so that's bang on. The 2016/17 season ended on May 21st. So that's 2 years and 4 months. I suppose it's up for debate, but it works for me.

****ing hell, I really hope this is an act.
I wrote "Their fans are actively boycotting the club because of ownership.", ergo OP was wrong to say fan base was fickle.

Why do you feel the need to be so rude?

Yeah I quoted that post, meant to quote the one saying “wrong”... hence asking “what was he wrong about”.

Re: 9,786 Hull Fans today
The council has leased the ground to Swansea City FC . The council gave planning permission to Swansea City FC to extend.

Not always the reason admittedly, but I hear quite a bit of those that have bought season tickets in the Family Stand for their child or grandchild, that never attend. Not sure how the security checks work at the ticket office, but some may even be phantom junior members, to allow the adult a slightly cheaper ST.

Our club, listened to the fans and started charging kids £49 in the Ninian Stand (not sure about how much in the Canton), so lots migrated from the family stand to those.
What we need, as a club is replacement families !!!!
Spare tickets should be given out to schools, hoping that kids grasp the “BLUEBIRDS”, way of life
