Re: Doner Kebab in Naan Bread
Used to be a place in Merthyr which did it. Roosters. Indians who who gave a kebab house ago. They would cut the donna meat off the spit and then fry it in Indian spices for a bit before wrapping in a Naan. Chilli sauce and all the salad. Yes please.
Sadly they didn’t last long but managed to have a few of them and nothing comes close.

KBS on City Road. I’m not sure if Alladins still do it. I’ve not been to either since I moved away.

if doner meat is good quality you don't need chilli sauce , just onions , chilli peppers and tomatoes
The Olympus in bridgend used to do onions soaked in raw chillis
Best avoided

Meat and Greek opening next week in Barry

Re: Doner Kebab in Naan Bread
If you want an excellent kebab, try the German Kebab shop on City Road. They're not cheap, but they are pretty damned good. None of that liquid fat everywhere, either.

Doner kebab meat is for scruffs.

I find cooking boring
I have a chicken stew on today , fried chicken cubes , onions , parsnips , carrots , leek
Eat it in a bowl , soup style
One pot cooking , about as adventurous as I get

Get a slow cooker.
Some great one pot meals about ands it the laziest way to cook.
You could go out fishing and come back to some decent food with no stress or drama.

Re: Doner Kebab in Naan Bread
Some places over here fold the pita instead of slicing in half and stuffing it. Mostly Greek places. Got to go middle eastern for the real thing.

I couldn't eat one sober, not sure I could eat one drunk these days either. I did like a good kebab mind. The one JR Hartley mentioned sounds delicious. I was always dubious about the meat that was being served.
