~700 ST sold in the last 4 days
That’s about a quarter of a million pounds income for the club off the back of Ramsey’s signing. It’s payday next weekend too for a lot of people so I’d expect another little boost in sales.
Anyone got a rough idea what wages he’s on?
With “Ramsey 10” shirt sales and increased match day revenues, we might end up making a profit from his signing.

Re: ~700 ST sold in the last 4 days
So would that put us around the 15k total now?

I’m not sure, seems to be the case though.
Have the club done a ST sales update on Twitter recently? Since Musk broke the site I’ve not been able to see any posts without an account.

He's on 28k

Re: ~700 ST sold in the last 4 days
I took my grandson to the club shop yesterday.
He chose a home shirt and wanted ‘Ramsey’ of course - but they’d run out of ‘a’, ‘e’, and the number 1 from Rambo’s ‘10’ 😁

You’ve forgotten the time & half for Saturdays and, obviously, double time for the Leeds away game.

Looks like that's what LoM did then, but where does the figure of £3 million come from?

You treble Ramsey’s age, times it by his boot size, times it again by his front door no, add on his wife and kids ages, times that by the population of Caerphilly, add the amount of pies and pints sold at the CCS last season, and that gives you £2,999,998. You then add on how many times Sludge has had his hole, how many witty comments TLG has posted, and how many sensible comments JR Hartley has posted.
That gives you £3m 👍

Yes I've just put all that data into my calculator and I arrive at the same figure. I had it wrong at first because I put the Sludge figure at 2 instead of 1.

To be fair, I should have clarified the Sludge figure. I meant “his hole with a female”
If you were to include his hole with a man, different species and the palm of his hand, you may easily have arrived at well over £3m.

I doubt it will be that much as football clubs usually only pay for police called into the ground. The club tends to use their own stewards.

Did someone say that there’s rugby on in town? If so, the police will have their hands full there.

Playing Portugal at home, apparently, quarter to five kick off.

It’s at the Stade de Nice
In something called the World Cup, about 12 teams enter it I think :hehe:

What’s the most ST we’ve sold at this level?

Probably around 17k or 18k. Our highest Championship average is 23,194 in the 10/11 season. We finished in the playoffs and it was the season after the play off final so walk up sales were probably a bit higher than the usual 4k or 5k we normally get.

Season ticket sales are currently around 15,600 , and the club have released and additional block of seats in the family stand ( presumably for demand)
Since Ramsey was mooted the club has generated around 1,600 in additional sales and would hope to pass 16,000 before the season starts.

Dalman was hoping for 18 000
That being said 16000 will be great

Choo was hoping for 14,000. Considering some were predicting less than 10,000 it’s not at all bad. Yes the price is competitive, but it’s fair in relation to our support base and the fact that the public transport system is not the best for fans either, especially outside of Cardiff.
When you look at other cities and towns the public transport in this region has never been as bad as it is.

Well I don't think there is much doubt about it ......season tickets are cheap
I think if we had performed better the last few seasons then 18000 would have been a fair target
I don't know anything about the transport systems in places like Stoke, Southampton etc but I agree that a lot of our fans come from the valleys where roads and trains are inadequate

I think similar would be said in most towns and cities outside London.
In Sheffield the public transport system was the best in the country in the late 70s and early 80s under the Socialist Republic of South Yorkshire. After decades of privatisation, bus operators allowed to abandon or reduce less profitable routes and the impact of growing car numbers (linked to reduced bus services) and road damage, the service is the worst it has ever been. Rail links are also in a mess and worse than ever. From talking to friends and relatives in other cities in the Midlands and North of England, the picture is the same. Public transport in Cardiff and South Wales may well be poor and getting worse, but it is not unique in that.
Maybe some party will put low cost, efficient, integrated mass publicly owned transport systems into their next election manifesto? As an essential part of a low carbon, green energy and transport strategy? One that is a clear 'invest to save' and will reduce pollution, create jobs and make lives healthier and more enjoyable? Or would that involve upsetting the big donors, having a vision and growing a backbone?

I was working the Totley to Brinsworth (Rotherham) route - the 24, with the 17 going to Totley Brook - from 1983-6.
You are almost spot on with the fare: 11 pence to Totley or Brinsworth terminus (9 pence to closer city terminus's like Lane Top) with a minimum fare of 3 pence to the first stage, and 2 pence any distance for u16s. Those fares were low by any comparison and as i recall were fixed for about 10 years until just before privatisation broke the whole system.
It was a standing joke (The People's Republic) and a source of great local pride that we had a cheap, reliable and plentiful bus service (although rail wasn't integrated with the buses). But that was destroyed over 35 years ago - thanks Thatcher!

Totley was - part of the Sheffield Hallam constituency - where I now live after 25 years in Pitsmoor.
Hallam was the last Tory constituency in Sheffield (the MP at the time of Hillsborough was Sir Irving Patnick who acted as the runner between No 10, the Tory press (especially The Sun) and South Yorkshire Police - helping to demonise the fans and whitewash the police.
The Lib Dems took the seat in 1997, and Clegg was elected there in 2010. He lost to Jared O'Mara (Labour - disgraced - Independent) and the current MP is Olivia Blake, who is one of the better ones (soft Campaign Group). I will vote for her.

Yeah, top fare was 10p. I used to live at Crimicar lane on edge of Dore Moor, the bus from city centre took 45 minutes, still only 10p.

Looking at what’s left on the site I would have thought it’s nearer 15,000 , that’s really disappointing if true, especially the uptick in sales recently.

I wouldn't have said that was really disappointing, it's more than we got last season isn't it?
