FT: NOTTINGHAM FOREST 1 - 2 CARDIFF CITY.
Sunday September 12th, ko 2:30pm.
Live on Sky Sports Football.
Match Officials:
Referee: DEAN WHITESTONE

Forest played 5, lost 4. Only point came after a late goal earned in a draw v Derby last time out.
Would be very unhappy not to win this one.

Re: NOTTINGHAM FOREST v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Not sure we are good enough to win at the moment. Fancy a draw.

Agree with that. Bacuna will start, unfortunately.

Think Collins will start judging by MMs comments today.

It’s been a good hunting ground for us in recent years, Noone & NML spring to mind and forest are propping up the Championship table tonight I think they’re there for the taking.

You’d thinking he’d be chomping at the bit, we always screw up at the bottom clubs too…..I fear the worst

Same here. These games always look like a straight win on paper but City have a habit of slipping on the banana skin.
A failure to win here might be a yard stick to demonstrate how we may struggle this season

Moore on the bench. No Giles in squad. Harris and Collins start
-
Re: NOTTINGHAM FOREST v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Glad to see Harris starting.
Got a good feeling about today.

Re: NOTTINGHAM FOREST v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I was confident. Then I saw that line up.
No creativity at all. This isnt going to be pretty. Id take a draw.
-
Re: NOTTINGHAM FOREST v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I would describe that selection as 'workmanlike' and short of creativity
I really do wonder what Bacuna does to deserve his first name on the teamsheet
We look like we are set up to play on the break.
My expectations are not high

I always try not to react too much to the team selection. Sometimes a team I think is excellent on paper is dire, then other times I am pleasantly surprised in a team I expected to lose.

Doesn't fill you with optimism does it?!

There could be any number of reasons why the manager has chosen his line up e.g. players picking up an injury, feeling unwell.
It could even be be that he thinks this one could possibly get a result whilst seeing what other players have to offer :sherlock:
People know what our squad is.
Some people just can't wait until the game starts to have a gripe

They haven’t played for weeks……I’m off out, been a great weekend so I’ll just check the result later on so not to ruin the day

Re: NOTTINGHAM FOREST v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Bowen starting, Bacuna is out
-
Re: NOTTINGHAM FOREST v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Bowen starts! Bacuna has knock.
-
Re: NOTTINGHAM FOREST v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Bacuna picks up a late injury. Bowen comes in to the startling XI.
StT.

Re: NOTTINGHAM FOREST v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Mick just said Giles was ‘coughing and spluttering’ yesterday. Assume he’d have done a PCR test for Covid? Regardless, not fit to be part of the squad today.
-
Re: NOTTINGHAM FOREST v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Pack and Vaulks. Does not bode well.
-
Re: NOTTINGHAM FOREST v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
How did that not go in????

Re: NOTTINGHAM FOREST v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Don’t think forest are a bad side
