Re: Wales vs Mexico
And Jonny Williams, who I forgot played for us :hehe:

Re: Wales vs Mexico
Why is Kiefer Moore playing in this pointless friendly? Does this mean Wales won’t play him against Czechia? He should be starting that game and not this one

Re: Wales vs Mexico
You'd think they'd use this game to finding an alternative to playing Kieffer up front or a different tactics?

Re: WALES v MEXICO. Match thread
Worth starting him to recover his form?

Re: WALES v MEXICO. Match thread
Was it really necessary to remove the Whittingham banner from the Ninian stand?

Is it my laptop or is Wales' kit on the orangey end of the red spectrum?

Who, Kiefer? He’s not out of form

Re: WALES v MEXICO. Match thread
Not your typical friendly this, quite niggly - nice goal by Wales.

Re: WALES v MEXICO. Match thread
Czechia drawing 0-0 at HT with Belgium, guess we really could do with Belgium winning that one

no we wouldn't. 2nd is no use to us as we already have a playoff place guaranteed due to the nations league. 1st or nothing.
the Czech Republic are also very likely to. have a playoff place as well guaranteed

Re: WALES v MEXICO. Match thread
The Mexicans are comfortable taking the ball in tight situations and holding off the opponent.
Hopefully Keiffer will be rested at half time
-
Re: WALES v MEXICO. Match thread
It's like watching Cardiff v Swansea.

Good point, it does make the group more open but needs us to beat the Czechs and they look very good in the small amount I’ve seen

Feels like the Mexicans are treating this fixture way more seriously than it deserves. Bit of attitude about them that feels a little jarring for a friendly.

Re: WALES v MEXICO. Match thread
Robson kanu should have left that for matondo.

He’s missed a few good chances recently I would say

Re: WALES v MEXICO. Match thread
If McCarthy is looking to improve central midfield Smith looks a decent player. Why is he in league one?

Mexicans getting a bit punchy? Obviously trying hard to shake off the national stereotype!

Re: WALES v MEXICO. Match thread
Can't figure out why Cabango didn't play for the Jack's against us last week and for that matter for us against Belgium he's better than Mepham and Lawrence.

Re: WALES v MEXICO. Match thread
Question :--- Why does Nico Williams wanna do everything at 100 MPH ?

You're might be confusing him with Nico Rosberg

Re: FT: WALES 1 - 0 MEXICO. Match thread
Much more composed in the second half and they barely laid a glove in us. Surprised how quickly they ran out of ideas and how easily our reserves coped with them. A comfortable win and a decent performance. Well done lads.

Re: FT: WALES 1 - 0 MEXICO. Match thread
Wales B beating a side ranked 9th in the world while Ireland lose to Luxemburg?
You simply love to see it

Thank god for that, otherwise that would have been nasty, having a glove in you

Re: FT: WALES 1 - 0 MEXICO. Match thread
where has it all gone wrong for Rabbi ? ? ?
I am sure i was not alone in being pissed off when Man City stole him from us, then I was really happy when Wales tied him to playing for Wales, he was a star of the future, but something seems to have gone wrong for the lad

Just saw that myself and wondered who would be the first to spot it. I should have known it would be you lol

I thought he did ok tonight. movement off the ball was decent and his pace is an asset when pressuring. he tracked back really well after losing the ball.
when he dropped into midfield he played some decent passes too - the one chance we had where HRK tried somewhere flick that went wide, Matondo started that move with a lovely ball out to Jonny Williams played for him to run into . and if HRK had left the ball matondo was unmarked in the box as well so could perhaps have ended it too.
granted he isn't really adding a consistent threat, which for his position is obviously important. I do think there is a player in there though. he has all the attributes, perhaps he just needs his confidence back.

I agree, based on what I've seen of him in his appearances for Wales in friendly games, I'm surprised he's not made more of an impact at Stoke - I thought he played pretty well last night,

I disagree, he had several chances of runs at the Mexico defence, but every time seemed to take the wrong opinion.
I will give him praise for his tracking back and helping out the Welsh defence with some vital tackles, but as an attacking force, there was something missing

He's 20 years old!
Starting to bulk up i noticed, looks a hell of lot more confident as well. I'd say this is where he kicks on and starts his career, I don't think anything has gone wrong for him.
