Sanderson
Morrison
Nelson
Bennett
Ralls
Vaulks
Bacuna
Hoilett
Ward
Murphy
To be frank this certainly won't be the team but at this point we've got nothing to lose so something a bit different might not be the worst thing. I don't see the point of Tomlin starting and being gassed from chasing down, bring him on with 25 mins to go if we're only a goal down, rather have him in for extra time. Pack despite improved performances was pointless last night sadly, we need motors who can run around and chase a lot in midfield against Fulham due to their ability to just pass it around, tomlin and pack in hindsight, two players not renown for that quality probably weren't a wise choice.
Sanderson back in is a complete gamble based of his last performance at Fulham, but again, I'd rather Bacuna with his engine in the midfield, so it's a risk i'd be willing to take given we're 2-0 down anyway.

Premier Ref called up, to continue the "Fulham Love In"

Re: FULHAM v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Three nil to them sadly , just hope they beat the Jacks , if they get there . A Brentford v Fulham final would be a good skilful affair and about right though

Yes Sky’s coverage was a Fulham love in before the game
-
Re: FULHAM v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Minimum I hope Is we go in front, just to make it interesting and give them something to think about.
-
Re: FULHAM v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
we'll get 2 goals in 15 minutes, like Brentford have tonight 😉

Just had a look at his history with us. I can’t remember anything specific but we’ve always seemed to have done well when he reffed with very little cards

Re: FULHAM v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
We won't make a comeback.
I think we will give it a hell of a go though, not too many changes needed I'd bring Vaulks in for one. Murphy is another one as Hoilett has lost a bit of pace.
May get picked off as we make a go of it, but I'd rather see us come out fighting.
2 nil Fulham.
We go again next season, manager has turned around results and our play style, which I didn't see coming when he came in. A pre season and a few clever signings and sales and we could be a decent team next year.

"Next year" being a few weeks away, apparently.
Strange times.

We play USA style these days and drinks breaks make it 4 quarters of 22.5 minutes (sponsored by Billy’s Badges). Go Bluebirds!

Pack keeps his place, Tomlin on the bench.
Ward, Murphy and Vaulks start.
-
Re: FULHAM v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Good to see Ward starting but would have liked to have had Tomlin in behind him from the start.
-
Re: FULHAM v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Whyte on the bench in place of Flint.

Don't think he's physically fit enough to play 2 full games in a week

Re: FULHAM v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Saving Mitrovic for the final no doubt. Let's hope it's overconfidence
-
Re: FULHAM v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Weird to start Ward and not Tomlin.
Ward looks good with Tomlin behind him.
Nothing to lose though, but slightly disappointing line up.
Maybe his plan is to hold them off for 60 then score, but we're the ones chasing.. Which may be the method of his madness as Fulham expected us to come out all guns blazing.. I don't ****ing know. Its a free hit. I think we've missed our chance minus tomlin but I'm not paid to manage us so I'll go with the manager.

To add.. I think what he really wanted to do was play Bacuna Ralls and Vaulks but he didn't trust young Sanderson out there at RB.. going for a more solid midfield.

Re: FULHAM v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Tomlin more than likely still knackered after all the chasing around, good to have him as an option later.
Murphy starting tonight is the biggest gamble but it is shit or bust time. Let's hope he's up to the challenge.

You might well be right about Tomlin being knackered. However, I'd rather he played the first 45 minutes. I feel we need an early goal, Tomlin just behind Ward gives us some hope of that.
I'm sorry, but Pack is a liability and a handicap to our hopes.

Of course that entered my thinking, but it's about getting early goals for us we can't afford to wait for goals, and there is a big goal threat missing in Tomlin.
I'm not bothered about the tbh I wasn't bothered when we lost the first leg. Looking forward to next season, I just think it's one game so go for it, they can rest their legs after the game

Re: FULHAM v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Wrong team again for me, really hope this post comes back to haunt me but ward rarely impresses me from the start, Pack shouldn't be playing and Tomlin is the first name that should be starting tonight.
Also wouldn't have played Murphy in this type of game.
-
Re: FULHAM v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I think according to Sky, only Fulham are turning up

I can’t see why we play a defensive midfielder player (Pack) and not Tomin when we are 2 goals down already.
Maybe this is some tactic masterstroke from Harris? I hope so 👍
