For decent gigs in Cardiff keep checking The Globe, tramshed and Clwb Ifovr bach websites. All three good venues that put gret bands.
Do not, repeat, do not check out who is playing the shite hole that is the Motor point Arena. Awful overpriced warm beer, crap view if you are too far back, over priced tickets with a rip-off booking fee, and staffed by the thick, pig ignorant scum that are Showsec

Re: Info on south Wales gigs and tours by bands
I see Beth Hart is at St David's Hall in April.
I rate her but (as I posted recently) for me the cost is prohibitive. Only a few seats left in the rear stalls at £41.50 plus all the add ons.
What holds me back is I'm not keen on all of her back-catalogue......Just have to make do with Deep Purple and Joe Bonamassa....

Good shout although, in my experience all three venues use allgigs.com.

You should give one of those hairy feminist groups a bell, see if they want that as their new slogan.

Y Niwl at Clwb on Friday. Probably my favourite Welsh language, instrumental, surf guitar band.

How many are there fitting that description?
And if they are an instrumental band how are they classified as Welsh language?

Anvil!! Honestly Sludge! We have had this conversation before, but weren't you one of the teenybopper headbangers down the front at St Davids Hall, creaming their jeans when Lips played the guitar with a dildo. This was when they supported Motorhead on 'Another Perfect Day' Tour, I think? It made me cringe with embarrassment....
Mind you somewhere in your mancave you have one of Simon Kirke's drumsticks from when the band Wildlife were support to MSG back in '83. So you do have a little bit of good taste lol

Yep that was me and I still have the drumstick somewhere
Anvil were great , better than motorhead , another perfect day without fast Eddie and Brian Robertson was a shocking album
Micheal schenker was dreadful

Loved Robbo with Lizzy, but he was a bit out of his depth with 'head. The sound was atrocious that night, bouncing off the walls, due to the poor acoustics of St Davids Hall.
Yeah, you are right, Schenker was pants. I walked out halfway thru the gig. Wildlife, who later morphed into FM, totally blew them offstage. Still the best support band I have ever seen
