Re: Forest sack Mark Warburton
it's all gone pear-shaped for him since leaving Brentford. Performed a minor miracle there. Perhaps needs to go down to a lower level to rebuild his career, and see if he can do the same for another club that he did whilst being Brentfords manager.

Re: Forest sack Mark Warburton
But but but what about the fantastic football they play?
-
Re: Forest sack Mark Warburton
So much for 'we'd prefer to lose than play Warnock's football '
Just shows - no1 priority is results.
The rest is just vanity

Re: Forest sack Mark Warburton
Shows the modern game in its context. Fans want good winning football preferably stylishly exiqueted and why not. The board just want results. With the exception of West Ham who pretend they want good football but hire Moyes, Allardyce etc. I know they had to stay in the league but still. Years ago if the team was showing development and a style of play coming together a manager might be given some time. Not anymore. Rowett getting sacked by Birmingham was the worst case I have seen of late.

But he would rather keep losing knocking it around the back 4 all game than play effective football even if it means lumping it sometimes.

Re: Forest sack Mark Warburton
I think he should have been given more time. Look at Lee Johnson, I thought he was nailed on for the sack last year and now he's doing well.

Apart from when his team face an equal number of opposition players

Football is his bread and butter, he’ll be back in the game soon.

Might find a less stressful job if he uses his loaf.
-
Re: Forest sack Mark Warburton
Losing a couple of bread and butter games it looks like it's gone a bit stale.
Edit: BBS a bit quicker on the draw there, I knead to up my game

Re: Forest sack Mark Warburton
Any more flops and his career with be toast.

Let's hope he doesn't get all bitter and crusty.

Re: Forest sack Mark Warburton
When asked in a interview recently he was asked where it’s all going wrong, he replied “fl-our football is shit”

Wheat better not appoint him if Warnock was to leave

I’m really surprised at this... I thought the board would have given Warburton more time for a “rise”in form - until Yeaster at least...

Does go against the grain. Should have been given more time to 'prove' himself. Oh well he's toast now.

Re: Forest sack Mark Warburton
I wonder what Brian Cloaf would make of this

If he were around he’d be on telly cobbing off as usual.
-
Re: Forest sack Mark Warburton
Cloaf's assistant John Robertson (jam) warned him about spreading himself to thinly. Could well end up in the sack.
