Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt
Wilfred Zaha for me, there have been many in my 40 plus years with the highs and lows, but this is the one that sticks in the memory as he was a ready made player with bags of potential. The mega bucks Dane was also a disappointment but only because of the price that was attached to him, clubs like Cardiff don't spend that sort of money on 'one for the future' and we expected SOME instant talent, sadly it took his leaving the club for that to be achieved and recognised.
Remind me of others...........................

His wages would have required an extra 6000 fans a game for 23 games. Considering Cardiff were at Ninian Park at the time, and considering the club were also paying huge wages to Sinclair and Hasselbaink then it was a flop on the pitch and was always going to be a flop off it.

Re: Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt
Godfrey Ingram
Matt Brazier (after he signed permanently)
Kurt Nogan
Gavin Gordon
Robbie Fowler

Alan Foggon, although I liked him. Went to see a reserve game once, in which he played, at Ninian Park. By the time we walked halfway along Tudor Road on the way back to Cardiff General station, he had changed and his white Rover 2000 sped past us and stopped abruptly outside a local betting shop. it must have been less than 10 minutes since the final whistle, so you can't fault that dedication!

Re: Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt
Wilfred Zaha, one of the most talented players to ever pull on a City shirt but crucified by our idiotic fans because he couldn’t get stuck in like Roy Keane

Etien Veljonika. Be rude no too

Re: Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt
Kurt Nogan by a country mile, Oh how we needed a goal scorer to save us, he was the local biy coming home, everything pointed towards roy of the rovers hero stuff
he was beyond crap
then closely followed by Cornelius, the lad looked like he had never trapped the ball, never taken the ball first time and at times never played the game before, how could have had been so good before he came to us and then so bad
On the plus side of the nogan transfer, it gave me a chance to buy some shares in cardiff and Billy Ayre called me " son " i was in my 30's at the time LOL

Re: Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt
Le Fondre , Tom Adeyemi , Emyr Huws- (thanks Ipswich)

Re: Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt
Bellamy was far from a flop, but was anyone else expecting a bit more in his first spell? I know he scored and created a lot (I realise how stupid this is sounding) but he never took a player on, and he was skinning the whole premier league the season before. I think he was always over marked maybe.
Has to be Cornelius for me. Still think he can't have been properly fit and didn't get enough of a chance, but for the price, it's him.

Re: Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt

Re: Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt
Zaha .
As he had /has talent and I was amazed he signed , and even more amazed how poor he was , he obvously didnt want the move and got his desire move back home to Palace ,where he looks comfortable ,happy ,and shows his talent every now and then .
