One of the best episodes of any sitcom/comedy ever made, but I just wish that she didn't get the last laugh.
I'm sure she was in the series 'Please Sir'. There was a welsh teacher, I'm sure he mentioned he was a Cardiff fan. Perhaps it was rugby. ;)

I did a sitcom writing course a number of years ago and we looked at this episode and came to similar conclusions. It's the very essence of British comedy for the main protagonist to be a failure, and the episode was quite rightly (and expertly) written to follow this trend.Quote:
