Research straight out of a Ricky Gervais sitcom. Either that or the journo has conveniently left the two best teams in the land out on purpose.

Diddums.
Stupid ****er overtakes a police car whilst under the influence. It could have been a lot worse for him, and the innocent road users going about their business.

Re: Bellamy convicted of drink driving
I wouldn't be surprised if the police veh was unmarked. I saw a guy on that road about 5.30 AM one morning. I was going towards Newport and he was coming the other way. He had just overtaken a grey panel van, something like a sprinter but not quite as big. Blue lights suddenly erupted all over it. The guy had no chance.
Not suggesting he shouldn't have been caught but it's easy not to spot these unmarked vehicles.
I'm sure most most us have been there at some time.

C'mon Craig, big fan but you should never drink drive.

If you read the report, it was a “marked” police car, which makes it all the more stupid of him.

The whole point of an unmarked police car is that they are not easy to spot. Irrespective of whether it was a police car, f1 car, or milk float, he shouldn’t have been on the road.
I can confirm that I have never been in a similar position.

You're sure most of us have broken the speed limit whilst under the influence?

Are you admitting to drink driving, or is that a whooosh

I don't think anyone is suggesting it was OK for him to be on the road.

Because Bellamy was speeding whilst under the influence. He wasn't just overtaking a marked police car and speeding (as bad as that is). He was doing it whilst also being over the legal limit.

Re: Bellamy convicted of drink driving
No excuse for drunk driving imo. Especially if you’re a multi millionaire, surely a taxi isn’t going to break the bank.
-
Re: Bellamy convicted of drink driving
How so many of you turn on your on is unbelievable.
yes he's in the wrong and will get the appropriate punishment.
but as for calling him a c0nt and tw4t etc is not ok.

There is nothing in my post to imply I meant or said that most have broken the speed limit whilst under the influence. Stop making things up Jerga.

Looks like you're either shit at conveying your point, or you're trying to weasel your way out of it again.
One thing that stood out, though, is that you actually seemed to think that the biggest issue was getting caught, and not the fact that he was driving under the influence.
Thank **** he didn't plough into a car carrying a young family on their way to a holiday, and let's hope more inconsiderate bastards like Bellamy keep getting caught.

So "we" should defend him just because he played for "us" a few times and scored a few goals? Maybe you think that there was no chance he was going to crash into some other innocent road users?
Tribalism, it makes me laugh.

Still haven,t heard confirmation of the inquest into his bullying but I would bet his employment at City is now finished

But he didn't so calm down. He's been caught, received his ban and fined.
Move on.

Yeah, sorry I should actually be commending him on not causing an accident whilst pissed at the wheel. He's obviously as good at driving as he is at playing football.

I apologise. I keep forgetting how much the internet can drive up levels of outrage.
He's been done for drink driving not child abuse.

Let’s congratulate him then. If Jimmy Saville can keep his knighthood after all his kiddy fiddling I’m sure Bellamy can expect an MBE for speeding past a police car while pissed.

At what point has anyone said congratulate him?
Its not the crime of the century, he's been caught fined and banned. Whats the big deal?
