Soton v Leicester. VAR and goals, goals goals goals
Horror tackle by Bertrand on Perez during a Leicester attack, referee misses it.
Leicester go and score and then VAR tells the referee to send off Bertrand for the initial challenge.
Double whammy.

Re: VAR done good Soton v Leicester
Horror tackle? It was a yellow for me. Very harsh.

How on earth can you think that’s a yellow card?
3-0 now btw

Fair play, Rodgers is doing a good job at Leicester.

Horrible weather, one-footed. It was a bad tackle, but not a straight red for me.
Can't believe Saints fans are walking out already. Weak as ****.

Over the top of the ball on the shin and you could see Perez’s leg bend. Possible leg breaker.
On Southampton fans, I agree. After living in Portsmouth I developed a real dislike of Southampton fans...even bigger dislike for Portsmouth though. They think they’re something special down there.

An old friend of mine is a Saints fan so I have a (very minor) soft spot for them. However, my first game at the CCS and the first time I ever saw City in the top flight was against Southampton. We were 3-0 down in about 30 minutes, and I had to sit on my own. So I'm getting some kind of perverse pleasure from this. The only thing that's spoiling it is that Vardy, who's captain of my fantasy team this week hasn't scored.

It happened last season to us v Man City. Blokes behind me got up and left in the 1st half. The one good thing that came from relegation is we don’t have to put up with them this season! They were one season wonders for the premier league, full of abuse for all visiting teams.......except Liverpool strangely. 🤔

The way things are going Vardy will probably still get a brace.

The commentator over here just said: "When The Saints Go Marching In? More like when the Saints resolutely march out of this stadium".
Oof.

And Leicester have a pen in the last minute

Just got a mention for losing 9-1 to Wolves in 1955. "At Ninian Park".

Southampton are doomed on that showing.

Hopefully it sets a precedent that away teams give home teams a smashing all weekend.

A word on Leicester though, they look superb.
I thought Rogers got lucky at Swansea, almost taking credit for the job that Martínez did.
He did well at Liverpool, better than most at Celtic but Leicester look the real deal at the moment.
He’s turned out to be a very good manager.

Loved the Saints fans singing "We're coming for you,
Manchester City, we're coming for you"
(To make any sense of this, Saints next play away at Man City :-))

I heard it but thought it was the Leicester fans.

I may be wrong, but I thought Ralph Hasenhüttl was highly regarded by Southampton fans (they were going down last season until he arrived), but, perhaps more than with any other manager in recent years, I think there's a chance now that the whole perception of him among Saints fans will have changed on the back of one game.
As someone who has always gained a nerdish fascination from studying results from the four divisions on a weekend, I can't ever remember a 0-9 scoreline in the fifty plus years I've been doing this - against ten men or not, it's an incredible result and , for me, it was at least as much to do with Leicester being excellent as it did with Southampton being awful.

Much joy in the streets of Ipswich today!
Their record matched - and by a home team.
