FT: BARNSLEY 0 - 2 CARDIFF CITY. Match Thread

Midfielder Callum Styles (ankle) will also remained sidelined, having missed the past four games.
Cardiff should have full-back Jazz Richards back from illness but Wolves loanee Dion Sanderson looks set to keep his place in the starting XI.

Fair do’s, that’s a good stat.

Re: Barnsley v Cardiff
We need to come out of the blocks quickly and cut out those customary early goals we concede.

That team if playing on form would beat Barnsley easily.

Me too. Paterson has huffed & puffed, without being able to blow down the house in the last few games.

Me too. This is ridiculous.
Yet again, everyone at the club is caught up in magical thinking instead of pragmatism.

The last game he started I know we lost, but I thought he played really well. I feel the goals will follow if he grabs one or two.
Paterson wins headers and chases down. I want more from our single centre forward.

Is it on the radio anyway

Would be a great chance now to let him play 5 on the trot, at least we know what he has, learned or if hes suited to the English environment of footy ?

Re: BARNSLEY v CARDIFF CITY. Match Thread
Not a great start. A pretty flat opening 15 I think we can all agree. They look a bit quicker than us.

Re: BARNSLEY v CARDIFF CITY. Match Thread
This game is shit already.

Re: BARNSLEY v CARDIFF CITY. Match Thread
PLEASE vary the long throw to near post.......

Re: BARNSLEY v CARDIFF CITY. Match Thread
Is League 1 football this boring? We must have the slowest front three in the history of this division.
-
Re: BARNSLEY v CARDIFF CITY. Match Thread
This as 0-0 all over it......

"They've got pace in their ranks and they've got it with Adomah" their commentators just now...

Got Sanderson there and he puts the ball in himself with what has to be described as a ****ing awful attempt at a cross, didn't have the angle and was facing the wrong way to get anything in.
This is what he offers. Zero footballing brain.

Re: BARNSLEY v CARDIFF CITY. Match Thread
Even the occasional updates I'm hearing on Radio Wales sound tedious. I was hoping hesgoal.com would have a stream for the game but am glad they didn't.

Re: BARNSLEY v CARDIFF CITY. Match Thread
I've got Arsenal v West Ham on the telly and City on the computer. Both games are exactly the same. Terrible.
Danny Gabbidon is the co-commentator on NBC.
-
Re: BARNSLEY v CARDIFF CITY. Match Thread
good cross from Ralls...Hoilett should have scored.
-
Re: BARNSLEY v CARDIFF CITY. Match Thread
Best move of the game. Junior should have scored that. Come on City!

Re: BARNSLEY v CARDIFF CITY. Match Thread
Terrible corners from Ralls and Vaulks. Just after that Barnslet keeper makes a hash....looks a penalty for Patersen to me....but maybe his reputation for going to ground goes before him....
-
Re: BARNSLEY v CARDIFF CITY. Match Thread
What happened there? Did he give a foul on the keeper? He rugby tackled Paterson!
-
Re: BARNSLEY v CARDIFF CITY. Match Thread
We are playing a poor team and today was the chance to try and "play" a bit.
Unfortunately not playing with an orthodox centre forward is showing up NH's ambitions.
Ward plays a similar game to Paterson so I dont understand why he does not play him.
That said, I would have played RG before Ward and given Pato a "rest".
-
Re: BARNSLEY v CARDIFF CITY. Match Thread
Good vocal support...about the only plus. Maybe Glatzel on for Paterson (injury)?
-
Re: BARNSLEY v CARDIFF CITY. Match Thread
When did City fans learn the words to Men of Harlech? Sounds wicked.
-
Re: BARNSLEY v CARDIFF CITY. Match Thread
Paterson is really pissing me off. He puts it about and if he gets a bit back sits on his arse. If he's not scoring scruffy goals he is next to ****ing useless for us. Terrible player. If I were Glatzel I'd be gone first day of the window. He'll probably get game time when we mathematically can't go up.. what a confidence booster that would be "here lad get some minutes, I've played a donkey ahead of you when we thought we could go up but now we can't I can play you"
