IR35 is still so more tax to pay and no employment benefits woo hoo!
It's all bollocks , all hype , designed to keep the masses on their side who were daft enough to vote for them
They will build a few roads up north and then forget about them
He has just presented a big-money Budget, with a fiscal stimulus of £30bn
Rishi Sunak seemed very emotional at the end, nice to see a young Hindu lad raising so well in the ranks of the old populated white mail dominated environment

Freebies galore this afternoon, all funded by more debt from a government already 1,800 billion quid under water. Give it six months for 'helicopter money' to be shovelled with instructions to 'shop till you drop' to keep things going a little longer as inflation heads skywards towards the crack-up boom phase.
He was probably crying with laughter knowing how they are going to shaft the public once the budget has been forgotten
Do you seriously believe the tories ?
Boris Johnson wrote lies all over the side of a bus to push through brexit and the tories will be doing it again
If people fall ill or cannot work we will look after them
Well you better repeal the disgraceful benefit reforms from duncan smith that have led to people taking their own lives then
I dont believe their lies or the other lots, there is agendas in all of them , depends on whcih agenda you believe, what I will say it can will be rightly judged in 5 years time when the alleged loaned voters can return to Labour, or stay and increase the Tories views of life .
You thank the Corbyn experiment for this situation, a better opposition would have destroyed the weaknesses of May and Boris , sadly agendas got in the way of that opportunity.
Yes it is amusing , the only difference I guess is where each party spend it .
I and others perhaps were not fans of the cost of the ambitious nationalization program Labour championed , rail yes , but some of the other projects were equally eye watering ,perhaps the electorate doubted the feasibility of such a program .
Tories in a way have to be more centralist and Socialist light if they want to remain in power .
I did like the removal of business rates on very small run business such as music venues , private cinemas etc we do need to protect the high street ,if council had their way they would just build flats .
I'm sure a quick judgement on this government is due soon on Thursday 7 May
People have been taking the piss out of PAYE for years. I really cannot understand any complaints about IR35 compliance actually being enforced in the private sector. If anything it is going to increase employment benefits as companies actually bring in "contractors" as FTEs, which is what is happening in many cases.
interesting take on it https://www.onrec.com/news/statistic...oidance-is-out
Anyone notice the number of Asians in the Tory cabinet. Its Ironic considering the large racist element in the Tory party

“For too long the UK has under-invested in infrastructure, leaving many people stuck with delays & poor service”
wow they’re gonna be shocked when they find out who was in government for the last 10 years

“Austerity is the idea that the 2008 financial crash was caused by Wolverhampton having too many libraries.” (Alexei Sayle.) Today, the people conned into cheering it on will be told to cheer its abandonment.
Such is the stranglehold right-wing media has on the British public.

When you hear Conservative ministers today saying we are in a new era of low interest rates that can justify public borrowing, worth remembering that era has been with us since 2009, just a year longer since they have been in power.
We had options about what to do with the money that was there and decided to waste a huge amount on a referendum people didn't really want, several elections people didn't really want, bailing out bankers who didn't deserve it, water cannons that could never be used, garden bridges that would never be built, brown paper envelopes delivered to a minority party in Northern Ireland with some extreme views...all while saying Labour would be irresponsible with spending.

The chancellor talked about recent flooding but made no mention of Wales. It’s as if the misery people went through in the Rhondda never happened. Not a penny for those affected. Half those affected by flooding across the whole UK were in one local authority: RCT. Not a penny for the £44m cleanup. - https://twitter.com/RhonddaBryant/st...29644872376320
Why did Wales vote for this?Quote:
£360million for Wales will go nowhere near matching this expenditure in England let alone the loss in EU funding and the disproportionate cost of clearing up and mending culverts, gullies, bridges and roads after Storm Dennis. - Chris Bryant again.
The coronavirus has helped with that, petrol prices will be falling for the next few weeks. But, yeah, this has been a day where the BofE and the Government has basically said "Spend, spend, spend" and neither the people nor the Government can afford it. This bubble will burst really quickly.
You voted for brexit , I suggested you were the worst kind of tory , a scottish one
You got the hump and argued you were not a tory
Now you are sticking up for a racist ex public school boy who is a tory pm , saying he has been a breath of fresh air
So are you a tory , or not ?
I mean let's be honest , you have dug yourself into a bit of a hole here
Jim's not your typical Tory.
He makes brews and sweeps up in some garage. It's a marvel how he manages to jet set around the globe on what must be a meagre income.
He ought to be the next Chancellor of the Exchequer.
I dont think that the tory party is a racist party to the core but I think it's fair to say a large proportion of it's right wing have very dodgy views on race and immigration
You will find that bar one or two exceptions , the ethnic minority representation in the tory party is public school educated or business types , there are very few working class tories from the ethnic minorities in the tory party
It's no coincidence that people with right wing views on immigration and race have tended to sway towards the conservatives , but that doesn't mean that everyone in the tory party dresses up in Adolf hitler clothes
There are people who have extreme views on race that vote labour , I have met plenty of them but again it doesn't mean the labour party is racist
It's been accused on anti semitism , which is of course a stupid term as anti semites dislike both jews and arabs ....I think the labour party has a faction that are anti Zionist and extreme pro Palestinian and corbyn and his momentum lot did nothing to weed them out but there are huge numbers of British jews who vote labour and despite the bigoted view and incorrect view that all jews vote Tory and the tory party is represented by Jewish mps .......in the past for example nigel lawson , leon Britton etc , there are many Jewish labour mps
I dont vote tory and never will but I dont think they are inherently a racist party . They do have , despite having muslim mps , have an issue with Islamophobia though , as documented by baroness sayeed warsi
Loads of jewish people in the labour party , loads of moderate jewish people vote labour and the party has a history of jewish mps
Luciana Berger , a jewish mp for a liverpool seat left because of alleged anti jewish remarks but there is not a lack of jewish people in the labour party , in fact the jewish movement in the labour party is quite active
