Exactly, nasty bastard but it was a true saying during his era, ‘every successful side needs a Souness’, the way he strutted about the midfield, passing the ball unerringly, firing in shots with venom while crunching into tackles whilst raking his studs down opponents shins, a right f ucker!!! Have him running show in my team though.

Re: Which Disliked Rogue Player Would You Have Had At The City
Drogba, Rooney, Diego Costa
A striker with a nasty streak

Has he really ever been a "rogue"?

Re: Which Disliked Rogue Player Would You Have Had At The City
Would just be any who are far better than we had. People like Gazza would have been adored even if was 8 stone overweight and pissed
Would have to be a real dislike for someone not to come in. Like Lee Hughes, Harston, Scott Murray, Trundle.
-
Re: Which Disliked Rogue Player Would You Have Had At The City
We've had souness, Costa, Ronaldo, Drogba etc, i think that under instruction and umbrage, i'll go for another pain in the arse in Diego Maradona, maybe Roy Keane and Jaap Stam seeing as we're going down the absolute world class route who any club in world football would want irrespective of temperament, maybe gattuso as well.

He's the one that springs to mind. Most hated players are hated because they can be dangerous. Murray certainly could be. I don't really see hte point in listing obviously brilliant world-class players who happen to be dickheads, because of course any of them would have been legends here.

Trundle was not good enough to play at our level. We were a championship team when he came on the scene and never showed him capable of being that.

Duncan Ferguson - the first professional footballer to be jailed for an on-field assault, and fought off two burglars at his home where one was taken to hospital.

Does JonJo Shelvey count as a rogue player?
Whenever I see him on TV hes either scoring some great goals or pinging some excellent long passes.

Lower leagues player. Too Sunday league to ever be a genuinely decent player.
Luis Suarez. One of the most immoral, opportunistic players ever. Also shit hot.
