Not really a fan of twitter, although it is useful for keeping up with instant news and gossip.
I think he has a point on some free speech issues. What I think is more key is the issue of algorithms. I notice this more on facebook, where posts just aren't displayed in any order and groups 'that you may be interested in' get pushed upon you.
We saw that most tragically with poor old Molly Russell. I think you multiply this by hundreds of millions of people and you can see how sites like twitter definitely contribute to division by steering people towards opinions and groups they are aligned to, so there is less diversity of opinion all round. If Musk can address some of that, it'll be a good thing

Elon Musk: Russia and Ukraine must agree to a peace agreement to stop the war
Russia: "Agree"
Ukraine: We don't agree, we want more US / UK taxpayer money.

Re: Musk buying Twitter (again)
When analyzing the Twitter/Elon situation, you cannot look at it from a purely business/monetary perspective. Nothing will make sense.
This is not a random billionaire buying another company for fun. This is the US MIL’s highest paid contractor stripping the Deep State of one of their most powerful brainwashing weapons in The Information War.
It’s never been about money. It’s an operation to expose and neutralize a psychological weapon.
The state of things:
1. Elon to Twitter: "I bought stock in Twitter."
2. {Yawn, both eyes closed}
3. "I bought a lot."
4. {one eye opens}
5. "I bought enough to be a board member"
6. (Twitter, alarmed) "You can't!"
7. Elon: "I want to buy the whole company"
8. Twitter: "you CAN'T!!!"
9. Elon: here's my bid
10. Twitter: We hate it
11. Twitter shareholders: We like it
12. Twitter: OK fine
13. Elon: Too many bots. I'm out.
14. Twitter: You can't not buy us!
15. Elon: sue me
16. Twitter: OK
17. Twitter: you MUST buy us
18. Elon: No
19. Twitter: We insist
20. Elon: OK
21. Twitter: "You can't buy us!"

It appears that Twitter may have been colluding with the White House to silence opposition voices on their platform, thereby denying them their First Amendment right of free speech. I wonder if any other social media companies have been playing the same game?

What has come out is only the tip of the iceberg. I'm not sure about Musk, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt until his actions prove otherwise.

He spent years crying about 'free speech'. Now he's banning anyone who impersonates him.
He's a massive hypocrite.

Not really, things are either true, false, or indeterminate, and Musk resides in the latter category for me. Don't confuse questioning something with believing something.

Re: Musk buying Twitter (again)
Why isn't Musk being portrayed as the Great Enemy? Here he is, saying again that he wants to control half of the world's finances - one of the fears of those who think that One World Government might happen - and yet it's Gates this and Soros that. Never a peep about Musk.

How to become 'the most followed person on the planet'

BBC News - X, formerly Twitter, to collect biometric and employment data
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-66679922
This is exactly the kind of thing that all the libertarians get up in arms about, but when it's Musk doing it then there's silence.

Re: Musk buying Twitter (again)
Still undecided with Musk, but fair play he's just told to Biden, the EU & Cabal to go f**k yourselves and possibly delayed further escalation in YouCrane. and for double bubble, he told the world about it :hehe: :hehe:

Re: Musk buying Twitter (again)
Elon Musk's IQ falls between 150 – 155, making him one of the most intelligent people on the planet ..
He turned off Starlink satellite to avoid WW3 and the fact it would mean blood on his hands as it will be massacre if Ukraine get there

A bit of contention with this, I don't believe he turned it off, but refused to extend the service and not allowing the west to pearl harbor the Russian Fleet which might have resulted in nuclear weapons being deployed by Putin who had said this would be the result of an attack.

Re: Musk buying Twitter (again)
Now imagine it was Soros who made a decision with a similar impact but in Ukraine's favour...

Re: Musk buying Twitter (again)
Musk as President would be fun as he has so much influence, control, tech mechanisms effecting the world.

Those who loved him when twitter was controlled by the bad actors now hate him :hehe: I'm sure he will get by, their inability to shutdown and censure the deplorables has butt hurt them YUGE. However, the jury is still out IMO.
Hey Mozz, Epstein flight logs gaining traction in the senate, whilst putting millions and millions of federal reserve notes into taking down OMB, the lack of interest into the paedo network of Epstein is quite revealing, I wonder why ? another paedo ring bust last week, but nothing is happening!!! if you are not looking.
