Gary Madine, Blackpool injuries, it's got all of the signs to be a defeat
Wonder if we'll get a decent crowd, with the kids for a quid. Do enjoy a pre-christmas game. Not boxing day though, I think i'm in the minority who won't go to games over the festive period

Re: blackpool
I really don't think how good/bad the opposition is has much bearing on results with this City squad. We've been generally good enough in midfield whoever we're playing, and I've yet to see a side that is significantly better or worse than us. Unfortunately our problems are at either end of the pitch - taking the half decent chances that come our way and eliminating defensive errors. If we can do that, we can beat anyone - if we don't, anyone can beat us..

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BLACKPOOL. Match thread
Absolute must win.
This is a real 6 pointer.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BLACKPOOL. Match thread
Twice in our history have we won 4 out of 6 consecutive games against Blackpool - it's our current run and also between 2003-2008, so a win on Saturday would create our best record ever against them. Prior to that we'd only managed back to back wins against them once in 57 games. At home we've only lost once to them in the last 11.

Highly unlikely I would say. It doesn’t drop below 0 tonight and it’ll be a balmy 6 degrees at kick off.

The squad were training at the stadium yesterday - whilst the training pitches in the Vale were frozen and unusable.
If the pitch was fit to train on at short notice yesterday it should be fine for tomorrow.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BLACKPOOL. Match thread
Good to hear, it’s unlikely to be off but sometimes, it’s not the pitch but access to the stadium. If it ends up at 6 degrees,we should be okay.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BLACKPOOL. Match thread
Not a 6 pointer, but we do need to put distance between us and bottom 3.
In recent years our record v Blackpool has been good. Hopefully that will continue tomorrow.
2-0 City

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BLACKPOOL. Match thread
Need to go for it today. Hopefully a more attacking line up, more like the 2nd half last week:
Allsop
Romeo Ng Kipré O'Dowda
Wintle Colwill Ralls
Harris Etete Robinson

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BLACKPOOL. Match thread
Based on Hudson's comments it doesn't look like he plans to start Colwill any time soon.
Rubin Colwill came off the bench last weekend in the draw to Stoke City, but Hudson played down the idea of the attacking midfielder being fit enough to start, after injury setbacks earlier this campaign.
Hudson said: "We have to manage the group and see what we can do with selection. He has missed a lot of football. He is someone we don’t want to risk.
"There is a plan for every individual. There is an importance on every day. The players are all driving to get on the pitch. They have got to earn the right to get in the team, everyone is trying to do that."
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BLACKPOOL. Match thread
He says they need to "earn it" but plays Nkounkou every week and takes him off when he's inevitably been shit
Team is crying out for someone to drive from midfield
