Re: Championship Owners Ranked By Wealth
How many clubs in the top ten of that list would you regard as being well run? Preston possibly, but, generally speaking, the list reads like the league table turned upside down.

I didn't realise there was such a strong welsh connection with Reading.

Re: Championship Owners Ranked By Wealth
Jacks doing ok considering the owners don’t have a pot to you know what in….I guess they don’t count the wealth of the 27 hedge funders picking up transfer fees from them.

Re: Championship Owners Ranked By Wealth
Love the fact that Rotherhams owners are named Joan and Tony, sound like the couple everyone tries to avoid on a privately run Caravan site in Burnham.

Re: Championship Owners Ranked By Wealth
Didn't realise that Luton were supporter owned. For that reason alone it's great to see them pushing for promotion.

Very good point.

Vinnie is way down through funding us.
Swansea owners are way up on player sales income :hehe:
The player pot is empty now mind so the only way is down.

Re: Championship Owners Ranked By Wealth
Those Reading owners have to be at least part Welsh surely?
I really should read the full thread

Nothing wrong with Burnham
Great fishing off that sea wall
Pop into Minehead for the Adults Weekends
Finish it off with Chicken Curry and chips
Have it

The fella who built the madjeski stadium for them was from Swansea I think

Avoid Taunton, please. We don't want any riff-raff here.

That's is a declared listing , i'm sure there is quite a bit of hidden wealth ,especially in the far east

PNE fans really don't like their owners, they think they're going backwards. Your point is valid, though. The Champ is a complete mess.

Yeh, it's only those pesky asians that use tax avoidance and hide money. Wouldn't happen in the west, that's for sure. Any more xenophobia you'd like to spout while you're at it?

Looks to me like they're staying exactly where they are.
Preston's league finishes since returning to the Championship in 2015:
2015/16 - 11th
2016/17 - 11th
2017/18 - 7th
2018/19 - 14th
2019/20 - 9th
2020/21 - 13th
2021/22 - 13th
Currently - 12th
They are the very definition of a mid-table side in a division that is getting steadily worse. It can't be much fun.

Yeesh, that's dull. I think Ipswich went for about 10 seasons of nothing. Their fans really don't like Ryan Lowe either.

We were talking about this in the pub after the game on Saturday - the danger of City becoming another Preston. But at least our lot have flirted with relegation during the last couple of seasons. It's been grim at times, but at least the wins have meant something when they've happened.
Most clubs at this level go through occasional seasons where there's no hope of promotion and little chance of relegation, but imagine that being the case in seven out of your last eight seasons.

City are so badly run, there's no danger of us not having something on the season.
Must be incredibly boring. When was the last time Bristol City did anything of note? I guess they've had the odd flirt with relegation but apart from that this is 8 seasons of nothing.

I think Preston have been close to the playoffs on a few of those seasons only to fade towards the end of the campaign.
