Drakeford more unpopular than popular
https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/p...s-how-27320155
Comes as no surprise, but nowhere near as unpopular as Andrew Davies and Rishi Sunak. I guess the poll is in keeping with Wales as a mainly Labour country but also demonstrates that, even if Labour's support were to dive, the Tories wouldn't be the ones benefitting.
Interesting little snippet at the bottom as well, where immigration is far more of an issue to old Tory voters than the rest of the population.

Re: Drakeford more unpopular than popular
These kind of things are always really interesting to see. I often find the Welsh ones that ask people who runs certain services in Wales quite illuminating.

Youve got your tongue so far up his @rse you can probably see what he had for breakfast. Slurp slurp red rosette boy - go worship your leader blah blah
That's the sort of thing you usually accuse others of doing - so for a change - you can taste some of your own rhetoric.

I absolutely know you are a raving tory creep spoiling the landscape of Wales with your ways of a traitor by voting for them
And you know it too
Anything you can throw about is like trying to kill an elephant with a pea shooter

People are entitled to vote for who they want Sludge ,depending on their views , financial position etc. If a person doesn’t vote Labour how is that voter a traitor?
My wife votes Tory on the basis of the above and she can’t stand new Labour and neither can for that matter. Who knows she might change her views depending on the next GE manifesto.
Generally high bracket earning families vote for Conservative. Even a Tory voter can fundraise, give to charity , be an active member of the PTA , donate to homeless etc, have an interest in local charities, take kids on day trips etc.

I don't really care
My views are I don't like the Tories and if I am in the company of someone who is a tory I don't have much to do with them
Bloke over the road was out on the street clapping for the nurses during the covid crisis , year before sticking up vote conservative Union jack nonsense in his window
It's his right to vote for the clowns , if it benefits him ......which is what you seemed to be suggesting tories do ......and i agree .....but its my right to chose to vote against them ......which sometimes isn't labour
As for Tories fund raising for the homeless ...Good god their housing policies since Thatcher got in are a big part of the reason why single people in particular struggle to find decent housing and get support if they have health problems
Voting tory abd therfore supporting their housing policy and then raising money for the homeless ?
It's like stealing 10 grand from someone then feeling guilty for what you have done and sending them a food parcel ......but only a small one

My wife was not old enough to vote when Thatcher was in power and unlike some she doesn’t hold deep seated grudges.

Nor was I initially
But her housing policies were shocking and marginalised single homeless people
Now if I was at a village summer fete or carnival and someone was rattling a collection tin for shelter I would stick a tenner in but if over a cup of tea later they started going on about voting tory I would feel well within my rights ......as you say .....to point out their vote for the consevatives is more likely to cause homelessness than prevent it
That's my perogative

I think high rate tax payers pay enough towards the issues you have mentioned, how it’s distributed is generally a Labour decision in Wales

Do you ?
OK
Well that's the view of a Conservative or a person sympathetic to their policies
I see no point in arguing the toss with you , the Tories in Wales are seen by the majority as the enemy
And I agree even though I am not a left wing Marxist
I am off out for a kebab

You have so much hate in you - there is no remedy - other than to respond in equal measure Paul. Blah Blah Labour Boy, Labour filth, Socialist (not that you know what one is) "scum" - channelling Angie Raynor there.
I'm trying to think what else you have called me and others on here - but just been called by the wife to go can get the kids.
Enjoy the rest of your today ...what's there to do over there in the vale on a Sunday ?

When you "jumped ship off here a while back as it was being hijacked by certain people who unless they were agreed with went all in and it became a joke" and before "for a laugh you jumped ship to the 'other place' that was alright for a while unless you question the leader or said anything about Sam and then you'd get banned (like you did)"
was Sludge one of the hijackers because you seem to have the scent of his blood in your nostrils?
Perhaps you could let us know who you were previously were then we could form a judgement!
-
Re: Drakeford more unpopular than popular
Perhaps - you could just not bother. All I am doing with Sludge is responding with the same level vitriol that he throws out at anyone who doesnt have the same political view point. Enjoy your evening.

Perhaps not bother what, you seem to know his name, where some of his mates drink. The least you could do is tell him what his tormentor was called last time you posted here.

Still it's 2023 and I am open minded
Unless he's a tory ?

The only torment here is in his brain

Re: Drakeford more unpopular than popular
There is no torment here - just someone who think's you're an idiot. It would be laughable if it wasnt for the hate coming out of your head. So you're getting some back.

I think you might be impotent

Feck me - Eluned Morgan - she has never been up to it - on any level. More driving points than Lewis Hamilton. She holds the title of being the first ever Senedd Minister to be formally reprimanded in the 'Welsh Parliament' - but a good socialist girl at heart though, in your worl though - Thatcher's fault for introducing speed restrictions probably
