So do the FFP rules not apply in Saudi?
These clubs may be owned by super wealthy hedge funds and oil rich royal families, but surely if the actual revenue for the saudi clubs is low, sponsorship etc is low (and im pretty sure the revenues are nowhere near the european clubs) then how are they getting away throwing these transfer sums around?
Manchester city, Real Madrid, Barca etc, the wealthiest football teams in the world can't throw transfer fees like this around so how are teams in the non heard of saudi leagues able to to do it.

FFP is just a UEFA thing, so won't apply to SA. Standard revenue streams won't matter much with the oil and investment incomes there.

I can see players retiring there, or going for a year to beef up their bank balances, but can't see any top player in their prime signing a long term contract to play there.

What about an outstanding 20/21 year old getting an offer of about £60m a year on a three year contract? Returning to the Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga etc at the age of 23/24, absolutely financially made for life with another ten years of ‘normal:hehe:’ wages.

I would be very surprised if mbappe goes there at this stage of his career.

he's all about winning big trophies, balloon d'Or awards and securing his legacy as one of the best in the game. he won't be able to do any of that in Saudi Arabia

Interestingly we get most from the UK Continental Shelf via Norway. Saudis control the market ..we could of course drill for more sadly certain oppositions would occur

I think you will find that the oil that Norway supplies UK with comes from predominantly from Norway's Continental Shelf.

Sadly no its not. A barrel of crude oil is usually between $80 and $120 a barrel. There are 36 gallons in a barrel which works out about $3.33 a gallon at 120. That's about £2.60 a gallon.
All the rest of the price we pay is transport refining import taxes fuel duty and VAT. So not the Saudis 'ripping us off', its the tax systems of the countries selling the finished product. I'm currently in Germany and the prices here are not so much different that UK.

I agree about the tax system but they are part of OPEC who dictate supply to artificially inflate the price of a barrel. The C in Opec really should stand for Cartel.

Particularly because if he doesn't go they will offer him more next year and keep offering until he does go. Time is on his side.

Historically, France has not been the place to be if a player wants to be in a club crowned as the champions of Europe. Only one French side has ever succeeded in the task (and on just one occasion) and it wasn't PSG.
