Despite our fantastic form I don’t think we’ve got enough to finish in the play offs, I think we’ll end up comfortably mid table. I don’t think it’s worth sacrificing our cup games to solely focus on the league.
The draw is looking pretty favourable too at the moment. 6 PL teams are guaranteed to go out this week and a couple of L1/L2 teams are guaranteed to be in the pot for the next draw.
I think he will rest all 11 starters against Sunderland if he can - maybe a problem at left back with O Dowda still injured but think he might shoe horn in a midfielder in there instead (possibly moving Romeo to left back and playing Rhinomoto at right back). They will say the cup is important but they will rest as many of the first team players as possible having just played 3 games in a weekQuote:

Maybe. I don’t think he will play too many regulars and will try something a bit different like he did at Birmingham
Looking at the very young side selected for the under 21s today, I’d expect players like Evans, Joel Colwill, Ashford and maybe the lad signed from Spurs to be in the squad. I’d like to see us go for three at the back again because I thought we played really well up at Birmingham.
I hope Robinson plays and I’d be inclined to leave Tanner on the bench as he’s featuring for the first team every week now.

Looking at the potential lineups, we need cover at left-back and in the Centre of defence for McGuiness and Goutas, Panzo is one, and we need one of the youngsters to act as backup tonight.
Definitely, way too many games, we have a decent team without using first-team regulars and some youngsters need to get involved in case they are needed, especially in defence where we are a little light.Quote:

Personally, I’d like us to put out our strongest 11 available and go for it, regardless of how many games we’ve got in the next few weeks.
It will be interesting though to see what our strength in depth is if we go down that route.
Ipswich have made the joint best start to this season than any other promoted side in any English league division ever.
Last night against Premiership Wolves, they made 10 changes from Saturday, and came from 2-0 down, to win 3-2, scoring all 3 goals before making any substitutions.
That’s what you call strength in depth.
Can Runarsson do enough to get the nod for Saturday, Can Colwill or Robinson shine that's what this game should be about.

What it proved was our strength in depth is woeful, and yet again we are out of another cup, we possibly could have gone further in.
Blackburn will now be playing Chelsea away in a glamour tie, whilst we’ll be watching Coronation St.
I’ve always thought the point of playing football was to try and win as many games as possible, and go as deep into any cup competitions as possible.
Hey ho, lots on here will be happy. We now have a clear run for a while, to push on with our promotion bid.
