Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Strangely enough, my foreboding on this game is missing.....I feel quite positive about this one.....
-
Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
The ref is the least of our problems Saturday.
Can't see beyond a comfortable 2-0 Hull win.

You been drinking some vintage French cognac or something?
-
Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

Naw.....just two bottles of red on weekends......just a feeling (like the foreboding feeling I had before the Birmingham game...)

Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Tanner in for Bowler on the right
Colwill to stay at 10
Meite up front
The concern is obviously Ng - if he's out Romeo will just have to remember he plays in a back 4.
Ralls/Adams in for Wintle (he's been poor lately). I also saw that Joel Colwill has a good game against the u21 Jacks last week - has anyone seen enough of him to know if he's knocking on the first team door?
-
Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Philogene missing for Hull, but we will be without Ramsey, O'Dowda, Ralls and probably Ng.
Confidence is low. The forwards aren't firing. The midfield (especially without Ralls) is one dimensional and negative.
Logic says an easy win for Hull.
The Christmas Spirit says we could be the banana skin this time.
Alnwick
Romeo - Goutas - McGuinness - Collins
Siopis/Adams - Wintle
Meite - Colwill - Grant
Etete
Subs: Runnarson, Panzo, Adams/Siopis, Rinomhota, Bowler, Robinson, Ugbo, J Colwill, Tanner
-
Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Mix it up a bit and stick Grant up top with Robinson out wide
-
Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Surely if Bulut doesn't start Alnwick he's officially lost the plot?
-
Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Predicted team
Alnwick
Ng McGuinness Goutas Collins
Sio Wintle Adam's
Etete Bowler Grant
-
Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I have no hopes whatsoever about this game. I’m tempted not to look at the score.

I’m with you, I want to enjoy my Saturday eve so not going online til Sunday….hopefully
If he starts with the loaned bloke masquerading as a goalkeeper from arsenal then I know he’s on the take

I wondered if Sio may be rested, but it was a bit stupid of me to include Adams.
Colwill must, of course, play.
Ideally I would like to see Grant up top, but I can't see the manager doing that. Hoping that Ng OK. Romeo weakens the team.

He could go for 3 defensive midfielders, aiming for 0-0.

Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Ipswich look 2 leagues above us. All because of a positive mindset that they will take the game to the opposition. Lay down a marker early. Our first half effort is pitiful.
-
Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Ipswich v Norwich eh, the two nicest sets of fans around surely….do they even bother to segregate?

Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Pretty much as I thought with the exception of Ugbo.
-
Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Pleased about the goalie, but why on earth start Ugbo.
-
Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Very happy to see Alnwick. Not sure how Adams with Siopis helps the fact that we don't seem to be able to get the ball forward, but to be fair not sure it could be much worse than the last 3 games. Don't rate Ugbo but he's looked far more likely than Meite or Etete to get a scrappy goal.
With Philogene being out for Hull, have to think a goal will nick it either way.
-
Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Great that Ng captains the side.
-
Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Good to see Perry starting and pleased for Adams to get a chance.
-
Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I hope Adams manages to time his tackles. He always seems a bit like a wrecking ball.
-
Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Glad we are playing with a goalkeeper. Not before time.
-
Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Make or break for Adams' Cardiff career today probably.
-
Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Wintle not in the squad even? Is he injured? Ugbo....like others, surprised - apart from one miss I thought Etete looked lively last game.
Forgot Ryan Allsop is in goal for Hull.
Ever optimistic.....1-2 forecast (!)
-
Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Why is Wales Online acting as if it was representing Hull with all the articles and photos?

I forsee Allsop momentarily trying to play like Franz Beckenbauer and dropping a clanger (fingers crossed!).

The team sheet shown on that Hull blog (under the Wales Online banner) doesn't show Siopis in the squad!
It has: Alnwick, Ng, Goutas, McGuinness, Collins, Adams, Grant, Meite, Colwill, Evans and Ugbo.
Subs: Runnarson, Romeo, Panzo, Etete, Bowler, Sawyers, Rinomhota, Tanner and Robinson.
Very odd! (the date on the teamsheet is right).

Just corrected on the Hull blog. Error on the team sheet published - Siopis for Evans!

Re: HULL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Respect to the manager for changing the keeper, regardless of the fans view on him.

If we nick that goal, watch Allsop spend the rest of the game time wasting and feigning injury

Sound quality is terrible on City Player.
