Must be one or two in there that would be worth a look at, someone like Scot Mckenna would be great if maybe a little out of reach.

Some half tidy players in that list and I'm sure a few young rough diamonds as well - I assume biggest barrier will be their wages
Wonder if the jacks will try to put together a Ramsey type deal to lure him back to the liberty 🤔

Re: Premier League Released List
Ryan Sessegnon, Spurs - still only 25, been playing first team football since he was 16
Now released on a 'free'

Since 2019, he’s played 51 games, another sicknote player (or is that “ non-player”)

Whilst he will probably end up being out of our reach we should be pushing for players of that quality. Two centre backs of Goutas (as OK as he did last season) quality will not see us promoted.
My Scottish friend tells me that the Old Firm teams are rumoured to be interested in Mckenna.

Re: Premier League Released List
What’s the distinction between ‘free transfer’ and ‘released’? Does anyone know?
-
Re: Premier League Released List
There are some very good players on that list many of which would be unachievable. However, Jack Cork would be someone I would like to see and could be achievable even though he plays in a position we don't particularly need.

He's 35 this month.

The right age for our club then :hehe: His age is why he's achievable.

As I understand it a "free transfer" refers to a player who has a full pro contract that is coming to an end and the club do not intend offering a new contract.
A "released" player has a scholarship/development contract that is coming to an end and the club do not intend to offer them a full pro contract.

Do you know that he has been injured a lot, or is he just not good enough to be selected?

He's been Decordova-Reid since 2018, when he was playing for us.

That appears to have been his preference rather than a name change via official channels

I believe he changed it by deed poll

Re: Premier League Released List
What's the difference between released and "free transfer" if the free transfer players haven't actually found a club yet
-
Re: Premier League Released List
Brandon Williams being released might be a decent target, thought he looked ok in the little I've seen of him

I'm pretty sure a free transfer is the term for a 'Bosman' i.e. a player has stated during his contract that he intends to leave when it expires.

Some decent players from that list still available. Nathan Ferguson would be decent left back/centre back cover, Terence Kongolo the same on the other side, I'm surprised Brandon Williams doesn't seem to be going back to Ipswich
Dele Alli anyone?

Re: Premier League Released List
Some reasonable players on that list but the one that struck me most was Bournemouth releasing Harry Redknapp !!? He’s got to be over 75 now ! Ageism at its finest. Surely he could still do a job for them ?
