Re: Jermaine Jenas sacked by BBC after complaints about his behaviour
he's too young for our midfield

Re: Jermaine Jenas sacked by BBC after complaints about his behaviour
What is it about the BBC and its staff conduct?
Does make me question the moral of this TV licence fee/tax we pay.

Re: Jermaine Jenas sacked by BBC after complaints about his behaviour
But they all wear fairness to all badges, lives matter regalia, they are carefully selected to follow their king 'Gary of the Linkear' all of which are beacons of light and guidance in this awful world.

It's just more visible because it's funded by us tax payers. Doesn't mean it doesn't go on elsewhere.

Indeed a complete waste of tax payers money.
And they are high profile and we grew up expecting better of the BBC.
This massive political corporation that is now being found out in the open world of social media, before it was like the Catholic Church powerful, able to suppress poor behaviours that adversely effected woman, children.
I bet there are many types of Saville, Rolf's Edward's who have never been caught.
Dinosaur organisations like this are to powerful and need to be held to account and broken up.
In what modern world should we be forced to subsides a media company, put up with these dreadful behaviours, overpaid pompous presenters and entertainers, what happened to freedom of choice.

:hehe: You sticking up for women and children. You need to think back on some of the vile crap you've posted on here.

Re: Jermaine Jenas sacked by BBC after complaints about his behaviour
The BBC isn't funded by taxpayers. You'd think by now people would know that.

It’s a large organisation that employs thousands of people. It’s no more complicated than that.
-
Re: Jermaine Jenas sacked by BBC after complaints about his behaviour
What has he actually done?

A sports background seems to automatically open doors. He's relatively eloquent (relative to a lot of other players) too, so it seems all he had to do was ask (or his agent did). Just be thankful Shearer doesn't fancy a go presenting The Wheel.
I'm pretty sure this is how a lot of them get the gig. Denise Lewis during the Olympics was a reminder it's not just football where this happens. A few years back Sam Quek tried her hand at the NFL show because she once played hockey and wanted to work in the media. She was rubbish. Show a BBC exec your medals/caps and they're hypnotised.

Bollocks. Denise Lewis was superb during the Olympics.

A nicely balanced point. I've heard there's a vacancy at the BBC for this kind of thing.

Another ‘fluent in utter bollocks’ post by the master.
-
Re: Jermaine Jenas sacked by BBC after complaints about his behaviour
You'll probably find it's nowhere near as bad as previous presenters' behavior, they got their fingers burnt with Edwards and the rest, and now it's out at the first sign of trouble, way too late, but better late than never.
What an idiot, he was on a good number and tipped to take over from Lineker, as above he was rubbish anyway and no great loss.
-
Re: Jermaine Jenas sacked by BBC after complaints about his behaviour
More ladies coming forward about inappropriate behaviour, floodgates are open .
Well done BBC for not monitoring your employees behaviours .
I'm sure we will now be told about his tough upbringing, racist slurs he endured as his and BBC PR team go into damage limitation.
BBC usual tripe due ( if we had only knew )
Saintly Linkear, Shearer would have known , one can't work closely with someone without knowing thier traits as would BBC staff .
BLM v LLM

Re: Jermaine Jenas sacked by BBC after complaints about his behaviour
Multiple members of junior staff. If it's a power dynamic thing, it probably makes it easier for the BBC to sack him outright too

Re: Jermaine Jenas sacked by BBC after complaints about his behaviour
It's bollocks to blame it on being a big organisation, the truth is the entertainers and presenters are way too powerful and BBC is weak and turn a blind eye , we all know how work gossip flies around .

When did the BBC become aware of the situation and how long would you expect an investigation to take place and for a decision to be made after consulting their lawyers regarding employment law? And how far short of such a timeline did the BBC fall?

Yeah, I must admit that I thought that she was good, as was most of the coverage that I saw (both presenting and punditry - other than Steve Bunce who is absolutely unbearable)
That said, they don’t all then go on to present The One Show etc as the seemingly omnipresent Jenas once did.
-
Re: Jermaine Jenas sacked by BBC after complaints about his behaviour
Now BBC has released him, Chelsea are interested in a free transfer I heard....

I'd tread carefully if I was you because I have no doubt whatsoever that you are comfortably the biggest arsehole at your workplace

The Daily T Investigates
Welcome to The Daily T Investigates, a new series bringing you the best of The Telegraph’s investigative journalism from the heart of the newsroom.
From Jimmy Savile to Huw Edwards, the BBC has in recent years been associated with a number of high-profile cases of paedophilia. But there have also been other cases of child abuse linked to the BBC, and now the organisation is facing fresh questions about whether it has done enough to protect children by properly vetting people coming into its offices or working on its behalf.
In this special episode of The Daily T hosted by head of investigations Claire Newell, we reveal a previously untold story of child sexual abuse at the hands of someone working for the organisation and expose how the BBC contracted a convicted paedophile as a chauffeur for 30 years. A warning that some listeners may find some of the reporting upsetting.

Dear God, the Telegraph, No surprise re. you though.
Harold Shipman was a GP, let’s all withhold our NI contributions and close the NHS.

Re: Jermaine Jenas sacked by BBC after complaints about his behaviour
I have sent loads of texts to female tv presenters and have never had any complaints

I wonder how much future earnings he has squandered, I reckon it could be tens of millions?

He says he's not a sex pest

Re: Jermaine Jenas sacked by BBC after complaints about his behaviour
Yesterday he said he would be consulting his lawyers as there's 2 sides to every story. Today he's apologised for sending inappropriate messages.
I guess the meeting with his lawyer didn't go as well as he'd hoped.
