Not too gruelling a trip if it’s at a daft time on a daft day.
It will be Friday night or Saturday I guess…looking at their fixtures.
What a crap draw, when was the last time we were drawn at home in this competition? Leeds I think, this is five straight away games now.

My argument is that all teams play a weakened team as it’s at the start of the season.
Why not bring the first round forward into the pre season before the league starts as often a stronger side is fielded in the final pre season games.
While I would have preferred a lower lteam at home there is always a chance as they’ll be fielding a mix of kids and reserves. Plymouth was a good example yesterday of where it all goes wrong when a manager pushes the boundaries!

I don't understand the negativity shown on here. If we're not prepared for any eventuality why enter the damn competition. We're playing one of the best teams in the country, we'll be getting a sizeable chunk of date receipts and offer a great day out for our travelling supporters.
For those bemoaning our luck, we hit the jackpot by drawing Barnsley in the FA Cup Semi Final resulting in a never to be forgotten experience of seeing my team in an FA Cup Final.
This is going to be a difficult one to schedule as City have stupidly arranged the Hull game for the Wednesday before this tie (that looked daft to me even before Saturday’s cup win).
You’d think that would rule the Friday out.

EDIT: it won't be the Friday as you say, it'll be on the Saturday (and probably an excuse for a reduced away allocation due to Birmingham playing on Sky at 12.30 ) if Villa are playing CL following Tuesday or the Sunday if Villa are playing CL on the Wednesday.Quote:
