Due a win then! Pick n shovel.

Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I reckon Riza will have given the squad both barrels so they're much more fired up for this game.
So inevitably a red card in the first 10 minutes

Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
At least Weimann's not playing - he always seems to score against us.
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Ralls and Turnbull possibly available.
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Got a weird feeling we'll win this one...
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Would be happy with a reaction from the players and a point.
Another feeble defeat would be hard to recover from

I haven't.
Things are just too bad with Riza at moment.

Be good to see Turnbull back but if Ralls is involved we are in big trouble.

Horvath
Rinomhota
Fish
Bagan
O'Dowda
Chambers
Mannsverk
Robertson
Davies
Robinson
Ashford
In truth couldn't care less who lines up in defence as they're all absolute shit, maybe Bagan aside. I'll go for 3-0 Blackburn, because of course we'll give Ismael his first win.

Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Horvarth
Ng
Goutas
Fish
O'Dowda
Chambers
Colwill
Alves Robinson Ashford

Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
We will make a slow start and end up behind before coming back into the game only to concede a sloppy, soft as shit goal to lose it.

Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Riza will look for a response and there'll be one for 20 minutes but won't score, then Blackburn will respond and we won't be able to respond to their response and we'll lose 1-0.

Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
If Blackburn could gift us a couple of goals like this one it would be much appreciated

Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
In the first 20 minutes we'll all be saying how much better it is compared with the Luton game (could hardly get worse I suppose).
We'll hit the woodwork (again), have a penalty claim turned down, and come close on a couple of occasions.
The final 15 minutes will see things more evenly matched, but without any goals.
So a first-half where we huffed & puffed without managing to blow the house down.
Second-half we will revert to type and start to look increasingly disjointed, inviting Blackburn on to us.
Blackburn 1 - 0 City

Not sure we should be throwing Lawler in

Didn’t we keep a clean sheet against Hull with Bagan playing there

Why not, we concede pathetic or comical goals every week with 'experienced pros'.
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I really do not think it will make any difference what team Riza puts out. We will lose and he will be gone by Monday.

We will lose. I doubt he will be gone. If he does it will be Purse or Ramasut.
Outsider Steve Morison.

yeh that is a weird feeling. I got a feeling Taylor Swift is coming round later and we're going out for a drink and then a sing song in the garden.

wonder if Goutas will have another assist for one of their forwards like he did v Luton. A fecking flypaper would be more useful in defence.

Now if her old man, Frank, was coming round that really would be in the realms of fantasy. But, even though he perished at Munich, it’s still more likely than a win at Blackburn.

Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
These stats are not encouraging:
- Blackburn Rovers have only lost one of their last 12 league games against Cardiff City (W6 D5) and have beaten them in three of their last four meetings (D1).
- Cardiff are winless in their last eight league visits to Blackburn (D5 L3) and have lost each of their last three at Ewood Park. Their last win at this venue came in December 2012 under Malky Mackay.
- Blackburn Rovers have won three of their last five home league games (D1 L1), with two of those wins coming under John Eustace and one under caretaker manager David Lowe.
- Cardiff City have won only one of their last 20 away league matches (D9 L10), beating Watford 2-1 in December.

I was at our last win there a Friday night if I remember correctly

I sense a degree of negativity towards this coming fixture.
I feel some have forgotten we have already won 4 games out of the last 24 games , law of averages we must be due another win .
Unfortunately after Tuesday night, other than the law of averages ....................

Can I refer you to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_averages
Particularly "As invoked in everyday life, the "law" usually reflects wishful thinking or a poor understanding of statistics rather than any mathematical principle."

Under the law of averages it’s surely more likely that Taylor will call round tonight?

I’m a big fan of wishful thinking when it comes to Cardiff City Football Club.
Reality is way too depressing!

Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Taken from the Blackburn Rovers forum....
"0-1 Cardiff. We are thoroughly enjoying giving relegation threatened teams a lifeline at the moment, and I suspect a number of Rovers players have downed tools for the season."
"We aren't winning this game, nailed on loss"
"Hard to even see us winning this game"
"Cardiff will be well up for the physical challenge, which concerns me, personally"
"We're going to lose, probably 1-2 or 0-2. Won't be watching after the last 2 shitshows."
"We’re now much worse under, it seems, a really poor manager."
"Third game on the spin against a bottom 4 side so we will wrap the 3 points up in a big ribbon for them now."
They clearly don't have much insight about us.
We are NOT the kind of squad that rolls up their sleeves and fights tooth and nail.
