not confident about this one - will be avoiding this place like the plague if we lose

In their last four home games, QPR have won two, drawn with Leeds and suffered a narrow defeat to Sheff Utd.

Yes, I'm the eternal pessimist.
Can't see us getting much up there, even if they are on the beach.

They shouldn't be, if they lose to us they are right in the thick of it.

Re: QUEENS PARK RANGERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Only change I'd make to the starting team if everyone is available is Robinson in for Ashford. Tuck him in behind Salech and throw the kitchen sink at them. Of course what will actually happen is a centre back change and unnecessary changes going forward.
2-2, but hilariously Derby will have only gotten a point from their two games this week and we're still somehow not in the bottom 3.

I would take 2-2

I've got this down as one of our winnable games, and I'm still holding out for three points. I'm going for an unlikely 2-0 away win.

I’d happily take a point from Saturday, Preston have Derby, Stoke and then us on Tuesday night, and I think we have more chance of winning up there than Saturday
Realistically we need 4 points from these two games and a win at home against Stoke for us to have any real hope of avoiding the drop

Re: QUEENS PARK RANGERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
QPR are missing Zan Celar, Ilias Chair, Jake Clarke-Salter and Harvey Vale, with doubts over Steve Cook, Michael Frey, Jonathan Varane, Alfie Lloyd, Sam Field and Rayan Kolli.
They've lost 5 of their last 6 and haven't won since valentine's day.
There's only one possible result...

Chair is a good player, I thought they would struggle to keep him a year or so ago, but seems to havengone a bit quiet lately

This went well.

Re: QUEENS PARK RANGERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
A decent manager would see us beat QPR easily.
Why the hell Tan has been so stubborn i keeping Riza i do not know.
Think City may scrape another draw.
2-2

Re: QUEENS PARK RANGERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
We don't do miracles do we? I'd be very surprised if we got anything out of Saturday.
-
Re: QUEENS PARK RANGERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Nil ??? Never happens
we'll probably need three to win.

That's good news, trying to get hold of a QPR mate to see what he says, but some decent players on that list, how many are recently injured do you know?

I'd still change now, there are just enough games and time for a new Manager to move us above Oxford and keep above Luton and Plymouth.

Did just chat with my QPR mate, and he said they are all shit except Chair who is inconsistent and good on his day.
He said they have been poor and have settled for safety and a finish in the bottom half, he thinks we may be in with a chance, even though they almost always seem to do well against us over the last six years or so.

They are rubbish, but I still don't fancy us to win, he's out of his depth.

Re: QUEENS PARK RANGERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

Chair should be in prison, he's been sentenced to a minimum of 12 months but he's out on appeal

El Ghazi also out. They’ll se how Rino is coping following the death of his brother.

Ng out is really bad news.

Not convinced him being out is a disaster, sails close to the wind and we’re lucky not to be a man down on times. El Khazi is no great loss.

Re: QUEENS PARK RANGERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
He's our only senior RB though, him being out would mean that it's either Rino or Chambers out of position presumably. The first we don't know if will be ready to play and the second pulls a regular out of our starting midfield.
Or Riza randomly decides to put a left footed winger there instead again
