Have they just left riza in charge this long to humiliate him?
I can't have a go at him like others are as he's so useless and so embarrassingly out of his depth it just feels unfair.
It's very unkind to keep embarrassing him like this every week. Surely they have some compassion and will put him out of his misery!!

Re: Have they just left riza in charge this long to humiliate him?
I was about to start a very similar thread.
He's clearly one of life's good guys, but he needs experience in League One...ironically enough.

With his CV do you honestly think a league 1 club would have appointed him as manager?

That's what happens when you appoint your manager from a make a wish competition

Again, it's difficult to post without being ironic but yes, League One is his level.
Put it this way, we'd be a decent League One team.
That's grim, but I'm right though, aren't I?

I really can't see why a league 1 club would appoint or would have appointed hin though? Morison is in the National League now. I think riza would have to start there no higher.
A decent league 1 team? We will concede ever more in league 1 if we keep defending like this against tougher and more direct teams.

Yeah we are so physically weak we could drop further.
Our fall from a physically imposing team has been dramatic. Is there a softer touch in the 92.
And sadly all our feared physical sides could pass it better. What a mess.

Fair enough, but Morison is where he is because he's an arsehole.
It's just occurred to me that Riza has spent time in lower divisions and it didn't go well.

very true, this team is way too powderpuff for the physicality of League 1..

I often think teams over think and over complicate it against us. If they just put crosses in and got corners we'd concede a hatful every game. We are unbelievably soft.

whats the riza lickers saying now

Re: Have they just left riza in charge this long to humiliate him?
We are heading for oblivion under Vincent Tan, no club could withstand the relentless incompetence of his decision making.
Anyone can see the only way we don’t finish bottom of what is an extremely poor Championship is to make an emergency managerial change this weekend, sadly I suspect he is genuinely too stupid to see it.
-
Re: Have they just left riza in charge this long to humiliate him?
He was pathetic on the touch line.
No urgency no motivation. Just had his hands in his pocket like he was waiting for a toilet cubicle to be available

Nobody is saving these players with 4 games to go.
Play the season out and prepare for a miracle and someone buying Tan Out.
Otherwise it could be even worse next season in L1

Yes, if we were in league 1 already.

He always the same. I said his demeanour after the Preston game was piss poor too. Head down almost like a disappointed kid kicking a can along the street. No spirit.

Re: Have they just left riza in charge this long to humiliate him?
He will blame someone else again for what happened today.
Next he’ll start talking about having unfinished business and how he is the only one capable of working wonders with these players.
Riza has an enormous humble pie ready and waiting for him.

He's actually giving out signs he's about to be sacked and knows we are doomed. It's out of his hands , working hard etc.
It's too late.
Let him take us down.

Re: Have they just left riza in charge this long to humiliate him?
I reckon Tan will be looking to sell soon. He's had his few days in the sun in the Prem with his trousers up around his man tits. Fun is over. There are more capable people on this board to run the club than the actual CCFC board

Give it to Ralls and Ramsey. We've got nothing else to lose. Perhaps Sean Morrison. 4 games to get these tossers running threw brick walls

His pathetic Instagram posts suggest not as well

Re: Have they just left riza in charge this long to humiliate him?
He's a weak man who escapes all criticism. The way he runs down the tunnel and leaves the players to take the brunt of the boos shows he's a fanny
-
Re: Have they just left riza in charge this long to humiliate him?
He's not intelligent enough to be a league one manager. When do we ever see signs in a game of anything him and his backroom staff have worked on during the week. I still have zero idea of what his system is or even if he has one. And as far as his lineups are concerned. Well every week he proves he hasn't got a clue.. it's not just him. It's his useless backroom staff as well.

Were there ever any of those? I don’t recall anyone on here being particularly enthusiastic about his appointment, I think we all thought his lack of experience could eventually cost us this season
-
Re: Have they just left riza in charge this long to humiliate him?
No team at league one level would take him.
Unfortunately he’s not going to walk, as getting sacked will give him a payout that he’s not likely to get a chance of again. He’d a dead man walking but none of us would walk, in his shoes.
Unfortunately I don’t think we’ll sack him either.
I think we are resigned to being relegated

it always amusing how little sense of perspective people on here have after a loss.
losing narrowly to a relegation rival is not a humiliation.
even if we get relegated that's not really a humiliation for Riza.
where will he end up next? I have no idea, there are some positives he can point to during his time here and I'm sure he'll find another club pretty quickly after us.

I think the chances of that job being a managerial one at any Football League club is near zero.

Genuinely given his CV what level do you think he would be appointed at as manager?
And given how he's so clearly stabbed managers in the back as a coach it would be a very brave manager to have him anywhere near them as a coach.

If Riza is a manager at a league club not called Cardiff City, I will be stunned. He's clearly not up to the task, and neither are our players.

I very much doubt that occurred
-
Re: Have they just left riza in charge this long to humiliate him?
If Vincent was still remotely interested there were probably a few points of the season under Riza he would have been tempted to sack and spin his roulette wheel again. We always seemed to grab a point or a win in the matches against hull, Swansea and Blackburn that just improved the mood and situation enough.
It's now far far too late to bother, unless it's someone well respected (which it almost certainly wouldn't be).
Just have to hope we can win at least 2 of the next 4 :hehe:
-
Re: Have they just left riza in charge this long to humiliate him?
Poor bugger, even Eric's dropping him now he can see he's taking us down :hehe:
He'll change history, I never thought he was any good, blah blah blah.

This season, and most of the ones that preceded it since 2019, has been a humiliation for Vincent Tan - relegation would take over the last vestiges of any argument that he hasn’t turned us into a worse club than the one he took over.

Would look so different, if he had prioritised getting the best Manager he could each time.

But then we wouldn't have appointed Erol Bulut :hehe:

Re: Have they just left riza in charge this long to humiliate him?
They’ve left him in charge because if he was sacked, our board would have to look for a new manager and they probably cant be bothered if they have other business interests to look after. As for tan, if you are in your seventies and practically a billionaire, are you that bothered if one of your businesses is losing money?

I agree.
Why would Riza be an adequate L1 manager? There is zero evidence to suggest that.
He would need to follow a similar path to Morison if he wants a career in management.
