Monday night football
Hull v Coventry
It could get more difficult if Hull win this one.

Re: Monday night football
I agree crucial game tonight
Since Jan Hull have lost 4, won 2, drawn 2 league home games.
Surely they won't be adding to their wins v playoff chasing Coventry? Or will they?

Both teams have been inconsistent lately, so it could go either way.

Could even be a draw.

Doesn’t matter what happens tonight. We are going down. We have shown nothing that tells me otherwise.

Sadly I agree with you.
I had hoped Riza would have been sacked today as a last gasp chance of us staying up, but seems not.
I reckon I could do a better job than him.

I agree.
Heartening to see people feel it still matters what hull do but I'm not feeling it.

Hull are 2.5 points ahead of us before tonight. I fear we've run out of teams who might be as crap as us.
-
Re: Monday night football
Should be 1-0 Coventry, but I tend to agree, cant see where 3 additional points are coming from for us to overhaul them over the rest of the season, feels like a moot point
-
Re: Monday night football
How did Hull not score then. Come on Cov
-
Re: Monday night football
I just looked at the score for the hell of it.
Also the stats.
Hull have an Xg rating of 0.00 goals at the moment. I've no idea what that means but it sounds like their 1st half showing is as bad as ours

Expected goals.

Yes I was hoping for the same, then I might have taken an interest in the Hull game. Sacking 2 managers in one season is not a good look but we’re desperate now and I can’t see our level of performance improving in the last 4 games without something drastic happening!

They certainly are
But we’re top of the shit list at the moment

Re: Monday night football
Coventry should have won that but all the others down the bottom are showing the fight that we are so sadly lacking
-
Re: Monday night football
3 points off Hull, really 4 points considering the goal difference
-
Re: Monday night football
The only difference between us and Hull is at least they put up a fight.
-
Re: Monday night football
Looks like we need Swansea to do us another favour Friday v Hull.
Not sure what to make of Derby v Luton.
-
Re: Monday night football
Unfortunately that’s a good point for Hull. Another big result against a front runner. Why do I feel our lot have already given Friday up.

Don't do it to yourself! We aren't catching anyone.

Have to hope for a Luton victory or a draw really. Luton win may mean we drop to 23rd but will be closer to safety than a Derby win

We've had it now; Derby will pick up a good few more points, and Oxford and Stoke have pulled further away. Stoke was the most pivotal game and the one that will likely take us down.
Portsmouth and Hull play the last game of the season, I don't see us catching either, although Portsmouth are in bad form.

For us, the last bit of hope Norwich and West Brom are sruggling.

Re: Monday night football
What teams like Derby and Hull do is irrelevant while we keep on playing like we have done in our last four "Cup Fi8nals".

Probably still in our hands, if we won them all, which we won't we'd still be fine.

After last night's result (which now means that we need 4 points to overhaul Hull and 2 points to overhaul a Derby team that has some form) I think that it's time to accept that we are going down. It may even be that Luton and/or Plymouth go above us over Easter.

I don’t think we’ll pick up another point !

We will pick up two more, methinks - and go down with a whimper.

I agree. Other "relegation certainties" are showing fight and picking up points, which is the opposite of what we're not.
We could easily go down as the bottom club.

Re: Monday night football
I think we lose, draw, lose and are obviously relegated by the time we go to Norwich and win 3 nil. Meite hattrick.
