With Riza gone, we now have a chance, and I withdraw my earlier pessimism.

I had tickets but was not sure we were going, the thought of seeing them relegated with Sparky scoring didnt do it for me
but with this news, the girls are 100% going now, so looks like I'll have to put my fears to one side and go

It’s so long I can’t remember….:hehe: I really can’t. Just lost interest and have other stuff to do. Probably when we had a decent manager…..

Re: CARDIFF CITY v OXFORD UTD. Match thread
- Cardiff City are winless across their last three home league games against Oxford United (D1 L2), with the draw coming in their last home meeting with them in January 2000 (1-1).
- Oxford United have won five of their last seven league games against Cardiff City (D1 L1), including a 3-2 victory in the reverse fixture earlier this season on Boxing Day.
- Cardiff have lost three of their last four league games played on Easter Monday (W1), though that sole victory did come last season with a 2-1 success over Coventry City.
- Oxford have won just one of their last 13 away Football League games played on Easter Monday (D6 L6), failing to score in six of their last 10 matches during that time.
- Oxford United’s Tom Bradshaw has scored three goals across his last four Championship starts against Cardiff City, netting in two of his last four league starts in Wales (v Swansea in 2020 and Cardiff in 2023).

Re: CARDIFF CITY v OXFORD UTD. Match thread
Watching the Oxford v Leeds game, Oxford were clearly 2nd best for much of the game. However, they never folded(like us) and could easily have snatched a draw.
Clearly a limited, but hard working side who rely largely on set pieces for their goals. They do not concede a lot, but also dont score heavily.
Hope we will be able to cope with Vaulks long throws.
This should be a low scoring game. I have serious doubts but hope the Ramsey effect will see us home.
2-1 City

Re: CARDIFF CITY v OXFORD UTD. Match thread
Mark Harris will score a screamer after 20 minutes to burst our bubble after some encouraging early attacks
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v OXFORD UTD. Match thread
1-1 and Ramsey calls the fans thick as shit.

I was going to say similar. Not a good choice under the circumstances.

Some quick recoveries there. Ng had a cast on few days ago and Colwill limped off with what looked like a hammie!

Just out of curiosity...Does anyone else feel a bit of sympathy for Simic?
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v OXFORD UTD. Match thread
It wouldn't be Cardiff City if it didn't go to the last game so I'm going for a reasonably convincing win today.

If that means Chambers back in central defence.... I am not convinced.
