Silver lining:
Wales will have a squad largely made up of decent quality PL players.
Darlow, Ampadu, Rodon, James, Wilson, Roberts, Davies, Williams, Johnson, Brooks and perhaps Moore

Pleased that the Welsh lads will get the opportunity to show what they can (or can't) do in the world's toughest league, with Rodon, Ampadu & James being key players in Leeds promotion success. Add in Jordan James as well whose had some good performances in Lique 1.

Don't want to piiss on your chips here but Rodon, Ampadu and James have already had the opportunity to show what they can or can't do in the world's toughest league.
Happy for Dan James. Ambivalent for Ampadu, Rodon can just fuuck right off, hope he gets twisted blood each week next season.

I'm happy for Ampadu, a nice story of perseverance paying off from him and he'll be a Premier League captain at 24, nothing to be sniffed at. I can see him being a Premier League mainstay for the rest of his career and he'll likely break the Wales cap record

Jordan James also playing in a top 5 league. That's a strong international side, hopefully the highly regarded u19s can kick on domestically too.

A 56,600 stadium expansion has just been approved.
Farke's position under review.
Rangers as a feeder club.
It just makes you sick doesn't it?

Why would anyone care about Leeds?

It should have been Cardiff, but now we are going in 100% opposite directions!

It's the Ampadu effect on him.
Once Barca or Real pick Ampzzzz up he'll be there next.

Probably looking at PSG if you are being serious!

Pretty sure that's one of those generic stadiums they have in Fifa

I've read some really good stuff about Ampadu's off field captaincy at Leeds and how he's brought the squad together after last seasons play off loss. I like Ampadu as a player and he's very decent.
I'd be very surprised to ever see him at PSG though.

Re: Burnley and Leeds promoted
Cardiff City v Leeds United since the FA Cup game in 2022
P29 W15 D7 L 7 (including the last 3 games)
It's been a decent rivalry but also highlights our recent decline.

What’s that chant? ‘Can we play you every week?’. Seems like Leeds are that team for us according to your post:hehe:

They don’t even own their ground do they? Be surprised if they stay up as a few of their best players are on loan I believe….solomon from spurs?

He means since 2002….until very recently (last 5 games) we were without doubt their bogey team……

Its only him and Rothwell, they own their key players
They definitely need a new keeper, can't be going into a PL campaign with Meslier & Darlow as their options

From dominance to total shite against a team with similar ambitions to us.

They are owned by one of the biggest and most successful sporting franchises in the world. If their aim is to challenge the big boys, then it's going to happen.

When did that happen?

Last season. They also own the San Francisco 49ers, and Red Bull are on board too.

The big boys are owned by Petrostates, Leeds aren't going to challenge them

Mate, Nottingham Forest are already challenging the Petrostates  On a serious note, the success of the 49ers speaks for itself, and don't rule out the influence of Red Bull. They have extensive talent scouting networks, academies, and a hierarchy of feeder clubs to progress their talent. I wish they had shown an interest in Cardiff, we'd have been well on our way.

It’s ’red’ that kicked off the division between fans & club!

So they got relegated straight away under them?

By your logic Petrodollars City should have been running away with the Premier League this season, and every other season. BTW, it was an agreement to take over the club and it still had to go through the EFL vetting process. However I agree that Leeds should have been promoted as the manager inherited a squad that was more than good enough to do it. Football is a funny old game, hey.

They've won 6 of the last 7 years so this is a bit of a weird example

Yeah….weird. All I recall is Leeds having to sell a good few players last year to balance the books, huge wage bill too. That usually gets yiu up with a decent manager. Something we’ve rarely ever had.
