Cheers. It will be a relief to watch someone else's misery.

Re: Manchester Utd v Tottenham
Is this on the same site, pitch wise, where Wales played a Basque team ?
When Toshack was manager
Or is it a brand new stadium, on another site

Same site. Rebuilt apparently.
Wikipedia: "By the time of its official centenary date in August 2013, little remained of the old stadium as work intensified to clear the site and complete its replacement".

The new stadium was built alongside where the old stadium was.

You are right and I was wrong :-)

Re: Manchester Utd v Tottenham
This game is really poor so far.
Maybe Son and Garnacho can make differences.

Re: Manchester Utd v Tottenham
A Welshman scores!
No he doesn’t, it’s a Shaw OG.
-
Re: Manchester Utd v Tottenham
It's playing out like a typical game between teams who are 16th and 17th in the Premier League.

Re: Manchester Utd v Tottenham
Onana has to go down as one of the biggest goalkeeper flops of all-time. Dreadful goalkeeping, I think Horvath and Alnwick both save that.
-
Re: Manchester Utd v Tottenham
Switched off at half time. God, what an awful bore fest of football.
-
Re: Manchester Utd v Tottenham
I dont think I'll watch the 2nd half either.
2 awful sides (by PL standards)

He's a bit of an onanist, it seems.

Think that’s very harsh.

Maybe - if they both played in the same goal, at the same time.
-
Re: Manchester Utd v Tottenham
There's not a class striker to be seen in this match.

Solanke just proved your point.

Re: Manchester Utd v Tottenham
Shame we aren't still winning the Welsh cup as this years Europa League would have been our chance for European honours
-
Re: Manchester Utd v Tottenham
Now that was bad goalkeeping by the Spurs guy as a fantastic goal line clearance comes to his rescue.
-
Re: Manchester Utd v Tottenham
Absolute travesty that either of these teams are in the Champions League next season. What a terrible advert for football.
-
Re: Manchester Utd v Tottenham
Awful game apart from the last few minutes. Spurs were slightly less rubbish. Ferguson must wonder what the hell the owners have done to his club.
-
Re: Manchester Utd v Tottenham
Who was the last Welsh player to feature in the Champions League?
-
Re: Manchester Utd v Tottenham
Oh dear, how sad, never mind :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:

Re: Manchester Utd v Tottenham
That was an own goal for me.

Poor game ,but good result. Brennan draped in the flag for his interview was nice to see.

Re: Manchester Utd v Tottenham
I think this is probably the end for Manchester United as a mega club for the time being. They have the same problem we have, shit ownership who do not understand football, as well as dabbling in massive overspending for crap players that haven't been scouted enough.
They'll be like Everton from now on, circling the relegation drain until one bad fall sends them down. The only good news for them is that they can focus on the league next season.

He didn't say it was the touch that went in the net though. I dont think he knows what happened. He said I know I got a touch then saw it trickling in the net. It hit Johnson hit Shaw then it goes in. I dont think Johnson has touched it again.
Scrappy goal fitting as a winner for that final.

Matondo made 2 appearances for Rangers in 23/24 and 5 mins off the bench this season, although not in the Group Stage

Question is will Amorim want to stay... shit overpriced squad and now no money to fix it. It will be a long rebuild for them, they are way off the top 10 next season.

Re: Manchester Utd v Tottenham
Crap game but congratulations to Brennan Johnson and Ben Davies
Shame for all the south walian United fans, including some on here

Don't know about the Champions League but Simon Davies was the last to play in a Europa League final.

In the Europa League, yes you are correct but the question was the Champions League. The last Welsh player to feature in the Champions League was Gareth Bale, who last played in the competition in the 2022/2023 season for Real Madrid.

Aaron Ramsey played for Rangers in the final. Think he came on as sub to take a pen and missed.🤣

Apparently Ben Woodburn won a CL winners medal without playing a game.

I thought the same. Very similar. Crap chairmen. A board who haven't got a clue what they're doing a transfer committee who are equally stupid and a team full of poor players on ridiculous wages.
