Don’t know if this has already been mentioned on this board, but former City striker (and I use the term loosely) Max Watters is currently on loan at Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership.
He scored against Falkirk on Sunday and against Rapid Vienna in the Europa Conference League last night. That sums up the strength of those two competitions.
He was a player who the fans seemed to hold out for when it was blatantly obvious that he wasn't a championship footballer.Quote:

He got 12 goals and 6 assists for Barnsley in the league in 32 starts / 2842 minutes. Not too shabby.

The football on display last night wouldn't survive in the Highland League if we are measuring standards.
Yet another in the very long list of "striker" failures at the City. We've had a fair few it seems over the years. Would be interesting to know how we compare against other teams on our striker failures/successes.

Maybe it might have something to do with the way we play - our strikers don't usually get good service and playing one up front makes it very hard for our strikers. As for Max Watters, he scored just 1 goal in 14 (+8) Championship appearances for Cardiff City. He wasn't very good for us. Fellow League One side Barnsley have sent him out on loan, so I presume he wasn't very good for them either.
