Looked nasty from where I was stood in the away end. Was a bit silly of him to fly into the ball at that pace given how little space he had, can't fault the dedication though.
I'll be surprised if that's not a broken ankle the speed he slid in. Hopefully I'm wrong.

More info here. Hope for the best for Tanner, and to his credit, Willock looked serviceable today from what I saw of him.
Willock has certainly underwhelmed - and was way below his previous best when he left QPR. But he has skill and is quicker (when he wants to) than I thought. If he can buy in to the BBM way of playing and shake off the lethargy, he could and should be an asset.
Johnnie Jackson name checked Willock in his post match interview - talking about his quality (the strength of our bench), accuracy of passing, and close control that meant the Wimbledon players couldn't dispossess him.
Just about to say that.
The ankle can recover quite quickly and rarely causes problems later on and doesnt hurt as much, just feels like its had a bad wack.
Ligament damage can be very nasty, excruciatingly painful and can take a long time to heal. Its the psychological impact as well, I.e. people who've had ligament damaged may not put the same effort in as before in case it goes again.
I suppose a glimmer of hope is that it was dealt with quickly and was on the sideline with a boot on applauding the team off.
I hope it's something like a high ankle sprain, which can be incredibly painful and will take several weeks to recover from.
He was Writhing, i'm going for ligament damage.
Out for four months :frown:

Out for 4 months
Broken bone and ligament damage
Gutted for him
That is a real blow. Willock is going to have to really up his game.
Make that 2 wingers we now need then.
Really annoying, played well overall this season and is obviously highly thought of by the manager.
Anyone that watches the u21s much think Nyakuhwa could step up to the first team?
Nyakuhwa has been included in the First Team pages on the club website since the start of the season.
I'm surprised he hasn't featured more since pre-season. When BBM was asked about him this morning (by Glen Williams I think) he said something along the lines of 'he could step up' in the absence of Tanner. He didn't say anything about him impressing in training, or pushing hard, or giving the manager a dilema to solve.
BBM sounded much less convinced than with Mafico, Kpakio, Lawlor, King, and Joel Colwill. Maybe he has had an injury? Hopefully he forces his way into the reckoning soon.
A real shame.
It also reduces our squad to 20 players plus goalies, and one of them is Daland who's been strongly linked with a move away. That's just not enough.
Seems like with Tanner's injury the Cheltenham game would be the ideal opportunity to give Nyakuhwa a run out then and see what happens. We'll still be needing a winger to go on top if that went well, Davies and Willock should not be relied upon.
I wonder what Will Alves is up to these days !
Think he would fit in perfect with our current set up
Horrible injury and shocking to see it happen. hope his recovery goes well.
Such a shame, he's our best winger by a street. We absolutely must sign a winger, I think we need two as we needed one before
I agree.
Last season I became frustrated with him due to his lack of end product, in this league though with opposing players behind the ball…his skill could be useful to unlock defenses.
I would consider him more central though as maybe a back up to R Colwill, as he won’t be able to play every week.
Also gives us a plan B creatively.
I'd be very surprised if BBM revisits anything related to last season and that includes Alves, although I think he'd be a decent loan
I like Tanner but he isn't a game change type player, we will do ok until his complete recovery.
I doubt Leicester will want alves to go to league one
think this fella been reading my posts !

Will Alves has barely featured for Leicester in the Championship. He started a cup game and made the bench on Saturday, probably because they sold Kasey McAteer, but they may sign a replacement. BBM hasn’t worked with him, but has links there.
