Injury update:
"Chris Willock has had a scan on his rec fem (rectus femoris). It's pretty positive news, but he definitely won't be available for Saturday.
"I don't think he will be available for Blackpool, either. I think we are looking at after the international break.
"The top of his thigh, he had some pain there before but he has had a recurrence of that over the last week or so."
"Callum (Robinson) rocked his ankle in training on Monday and wasn't fit on Tuesday morning.
"He will be assessed but he is a doubt for Saturday. We have a few doubts for Saturday based on the week we've had."

BB-M on Peterborough:
"We are trying to prepare today and tomorrow to give ourselves a chance of winning the game.
"Peterborough have brought in Luke Williams so it's more important than ever to focus on ourselves
"I have a real awareness of what Luke has done before and what his teams have done in the past and his style of play.
"I'm sure he will have a really big impact straight away and that the players will want to play for him. New managers coming in, the impact can be instant."

Re: PETERBOROUGH UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Nine clubs seek to rekindle former glories.
Nine of the 80 sides in the first round have previously lifted the trophy.
On Saturday (15:00 GMT), four-time winners Bolton host 1922 winners Huddersfield, with Wanderers having beaten the Terriers on the path to two of those previous triumphs in 1923 and 1929... could 2026 be their year?
Cardiff, 1927 winners, head to League One rivals Peterborough at the same time while 1953 winners Blackpool are at home to National League high-fliers Scunthorpe.
Wigan Athletic - the most recent winners of any team in this year's first round, having triumphed in 2013 - welcome National League South side Hemel Hempstead Town, who toppled Yeovil in the previous round and have reached this stage for just the third time in 105 attempts.
Bradford, the 1911 champions, are on the road at League Two Cheltenham while AFC Wimbledon - yes, we are giving them the 1988 cup - welcome National League outfit Gateshead to Plough Lane.
Barnsley, winners in 1912, host Yorkshire rivals and 1955 semi-finalists York City of the National League, while Notts County - more on them shortly - visit Brackley Town.

A few good quiz questions amongst that lot.

Re: PETERBOROUGH UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Is the game likely to be shown anywhere live today does anyone kniw?

Re: PETERBOROUGH UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
If we draw there are replays in the first round aren’t there? I’m guessing it would be a week Tuesday when we are due to play Arsenal under 21s.

Just checked and there’s no replays. Extra time and penalties. Shame that as replays are part of the cup to me.

Yup, what I wouldn't give for the chance of a replay with Peterborough.

Is this game being televised? I notice it's not available to watch on CCTV. And I can't find it anywhere else.

I’ve asked the same question in this thread. Anyone?

It's times like this, when Maurice Swan (RIP) would have found some obscure stream from somewhere.

I've found some games on Disney+, but not ours.

Re: PETERBOROUGH UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
'FAWA News' website was always reliable, but I can't see anything on there today.

Am currently running around Nairobi (am working here this week) trying to find somewhere that's showing it. No joy yet, so hopefully there'll be a stream somewhere. Cardiff city TV only have audio

I'm shocked that you're struggling to find a place in Nairobi showing Peterborough vs Cardiff City :hehe:

Where is Ng
Why roll him out for pre match nonsense and not include him in squad
Thought he’d be a shoe in for this game

That's quite a strong starting XI.

I love this guy. Top attitude (Bolton apart).

Maybe he's ill. Maybe he's tired.

Re: PETERBOROUGH UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
For anyone with Disney+, there's something starting at 10:45 EST called the FA Cup Round 1 Goals Show. I'm assuming it'll be live coverage from around the grounds. We'll see. I might just watch the EPL.
-
Re: PETERBOROUGH UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
We definitely need coverage for Bagan come January. That's not a critique of him in any way, it's just we're kind of screwed if he gets injured, unless we want to run either Kpakio or Ng slightly out of position.

You'd be surprised
Was in a bar here once and found a city game on Star TV, 'facilitated' the bar man to put it on and when city scored a group of Kenyan ladies started to celebrate. Turns out they were Cardiff Uni alumni. Was a good night 😂

That's brilliant!
That must have been totally unexpected.
I live in a third-tier Chinese city; Imagine my surprise one day when I spot this old fella, a local, wearing a Welsh rugby shirt (Brains Beer logo). I was passing by on my motorbike at the time, I couldn't stop to ask him the story behind how he acquired it. :hehe:

Re: PETERBOROUGH UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
The bugle player at Burnley just had a 'mare.

Re: PETERBOROUGH UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Safe to say anyone at the Macclesfield game is getting their money's worth.

Re: PETERBOROUGH UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
For those interested... Boreham Wood now 2-0 up against Crawley Town.

Re: PETERBOROUGH UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Lawlor struggling apparently. Hamstring or groin according to commentary on Radio Wales.
