Crazy. Chuffed for him that it appears to be treatable though.
My Tadcu died of that type of cancer. As he says, he's lucky he works in an industry that are so proactive when it comes to the treatment of illnesses and early diagnosis.
......from the footballing side, Brooks has always struck me as one of Wales' more talented players of the new generation. Great feet, classy player. Hope he gets over it and uses it as a launchpad to get back to the top .

This explains an awful lot. The good news is this seems to have been caught really early. Great work from the FAW medics. Fingers crossed he can make a full recovery and still enjoy a good career.
Hope he recovers as well as Sol did from his cancer.

The support he will get from the football community will give him a huge boost.
90% survival rate after 5 years according to cruk. Hopefully his age and fitness levels will increase his chances of a full recovery

My brother had it about 10 years ago, he had private medical care and googled the best specialist in the UK on it, phoned him ( was brushed off ) found out where his office was, went and met him, 2 days time he is under the knife and treatment started

The most naturally talented of the new generation of Welsh players in my view - I hope he will soon be back showing that ability on a Wales shirt.
As others have mentioned, the prognosis appears to be very good for him and you'd like to think that his age and general level of fitness will only help in that direction as well.
