Was he released by Arsenal, did he turn down a contract offer from them to sign for us or did Arsenal let him leave while still under contract? I've not seen anything that answers those questions, but Arsenal fans seem surprised that he was allowed to come here permanently which suggests that he hadn't been released by them prior to his contract running out.
Probably one of the two players that Dalman said he had just "signed off" in that interview a few weeks ago.

he's still only 20, he's going to make the odd mistake. seems like he has all the attributes but just needs some more experience.
Similar situation to semi ajayi when he was here and initially afterwards. they'll make mistakes, just depends if we are bold enough to accept that.
