Father is Scottish, Mother is Welsh, he was born in South Africa and brought up on New Zealand. I’m a strong believer that no one can tell somebody else what their national identity has to be, but surely he idea of him as an Englishman is stretching it a bit.
The guy is not British. He moved here with his parents when he was 16.
