On the coach waiting behind the away end (coming back) I listened to the Radio Brizzle (or some such) phone in. The carrot crunchers who called in were suicidal.

Not bad for a miserable git with no plan B.
Re: Finally found it - 6-0 at Ashton Gate
The sponsors chose a bad night to give out free match programmes - most of them ended up on the pitch in protest (although I still have mine!)
Re: Finally found it - 6-0 at Ashton Gate
The skill from Bothroyd for one of the last goals is quality. What a player
Re: Finally found it - 6-0 at Ashton Gate
That team, when it turned up, was far too good for the championship. Unfortunately, we had far too many off days.
i remember beating Leeds 4-0 at Elland Road.

Can’t find any footage of the 1-0 playoff win v the wurzels in 2003, peter Thorne goal? Can barely remember it or the chaos afterwards

The heady days when we could score goals.

I'm with you here. I haven't really been excited about a City team, despite winning two promotions to the Prem. since our 2010 play off defeat
Re: Finally found it - 6-0 at Ashton Gate
Even the much maligned Gavin Rae would walk into our team at the moment.

I was there, made even better by working in our Bristol office at the time. Ranks amongst my favourite away trips, along bizarrely with a 3-0 away at Southend, where every touch the likes of McPhail, Ledley and Scimeca took oozed class. That's how I remember it anyway :hehe:

That's harsh. This side could score 6 over a couple of months.

Whereas I found Jones's sides really frustrating, in that we could look amazing for a while, then be utter shite as well.

What a team. Chopra, Bothroyd, Whitts and Bellamy! Just one of those players could keep us up this year.
