Re: Solskjaer top of the Premier League
OGS has probably learned a lot of lessons since leaving Cardiff , taking that job at Utd was a huge risk and carries massive burdens and pressure for any manager, as so much is expected of you . You only have to look at the high profile victims it has had since Fergie, therfore one might conclude he has something about him to turn this around and put Utd back up there , they won't win the league as their centre backs are inconsistent and the need a true centre forward ,mind you the aging Cavani is a class act against weaker opposition.

They've been a pretty fun team to watch since he took over as well. there are always opportunities in it for both teams
If they had managed to sign Haaland and Sancho then they'd be up there with anyone going forward

Definitely . He would have taken us back to the 4th division without missing a season .
He has matured slightly , but, anyone who believes he is a good manager is nuts. The cards have fallen his way for a minute.

He seemed clueless with us, we were completely the wrong club for him.
You don't get to the top of the premier league deep into January without having something about you though.
They won't win it though, but at least there you can understand his logic, and see what kind of a team he's trying to get.
He's clearly far from the worst manager in the premier league.
Lampard makes some bizarre tactical decisions and has spent the most money and managed to turn a title challenging squad into one who could finish bottom half.
If i could select any premier league managers to be the next cardiff manager, Solskier wouldn't be top of the list, but he wouldn't be bottom either.

Think the pressure got to him. First high profile post and he could have fluffed it for good.
Re: Solskjaer top of the Premier League
They won at home against Sheffield Utd. Was anyone expecting otherwise?
Oops. Ha ha ha ha!
Re: Solskjaer top of the Premier League
I watched some of the game as I couldn't find a stream for the city game, was a strange one.
the first sheff utd goal was a blatant foul on the keeper by Billy sharp, then manure had a goal ruled out for a less obvious foul on the keeper.
then it turned into attack Vs defence for large portions of the game, with manure unable to break down the sheff utd defence at all.
they were really impressive in fairness, especially Ampadu. if sheff utd had a bit more firepower up front and could take the lead in more games they would definitely not be in any trouble this season.
Ampadu looked great in defence and carrying the ball into midfield, was a really positive performance from him.
then for the sheff utd second goal man u defence were a shambles, same guy got the ball about 3 times in the box completely unmarked in the space of 30 seconds.
should be a difficult season to predict the top 4 this season. man city will run away with it then the next 3 could almost be anyone from the top half of the table.
it wasn't long ago that the top 4 were a done deal every season and it was difficult to see how anyone could break into it, how things have changed.
