Was Bennett's goal offside?
Because I have nothing better to do, I must have watched his goal a dozen times and I cant make my mind up, although my gut feeling is that he had started his run and was past the defender before Murphy put the cross in.
What does the panel think?
Re: Was Bennett's goal offside?

I would say the Barnsley player 2 down from him is playing him on.

Good job he cut his toenails
Re: Was Bennett's goal offside?
i'd say the scoresheet shows that he scored which means that neither the linesman nor the referee consiodered he was offside.
Therefore he was not offside.

If it was a Barnsley defender, then Bennett was definitely offside

Looks to me 3 players playing him onside
Re: Was Bennett's goal offside?
I cant decide. I wish someone could freeze frame it.
Thank God we dont have VAR in the Championship.

And if that one isn't the next Barnsley player definitely is.

Even though I have my doubts, there were no complaints from Rotherham about the goal, and the way the manager was whining about penalties he thought they should have had, he would certainly have complained about the goal.
Must just be the camera angle that's got me confused.

No one could see, let's face it.

In one of the post match interviews Paul Warne said Bennett was definitely onside. No arguments.

Bored as well. Paused it on my phone. 100 percent 1 is playing him on by about a yard its not even close. A 2nd one im more or less certain is but theres possibly and probably 2 others playing him on.
Even with the snow its an easy decision hes clearly onside.
Interesting Rotherham complaining about their pen. PL VAR and that a penalty for handball for us in the 1st half.
Re: Was Bennett's goal offside?
He's onside
For all Rotherham's bitching about the ref, we should have had 2 penalties ourselves. One for the clear handball in the first half and another for the foul on Wilson

So I think the VAR panel has decided..
'GOAL'
Thankyou
