Good finish. Great result.

Great result.
Just seen that group;
Wales
Germany
Belgium
Bosnia
Moldova
Not sure about the strength of their respective U21 teams but that looks an awfully hard to progress from

Bosnia won't be mugs either - realistically, it's a group where I would have thought our target was just to be competitive, but that was a great start last night - Cameron Coxe and Mark Harris were both selected.

George Ratcliffe was excellent in goal, apparently.
Re: Wales U21 goal v Belgium
Massive result yesterday.
On to Germany on Tuesday who have won 15, drawn 3 and lost 2 in the last 20 games over 2 years. :frown:
Would be result of the century if they can pull that one off.

A brief match report on the under-21s game here.
https://www.faw.cymru/en/news/u21eur...u-1-0-belgium/
While George Ratcliffe, Cameron Coxe and Mark Harris were on duty there, we had four starters for the under-19s in a four team tournament in Denmark; Sam Bowen, Keenan Patten, Isaak Davies and Kieron Evans (Dan Griffiths pulled out with an injury). Patten and Davies both scored in a 3-3 draw with the hosts but the Danes went through to the final after a penalty shoot-out, Wales now play Norway in the 3rd place game tomorrow.
Re: Wales U21 goal v Belgium
Especially impressive considering Ampadu, Levitt and Woodburn are all still eligible and would probably be first teamers

As are Matt Smith, Rabbi Matondo, Tyler Roberts, Ben Williams and Terry Taylor (latter four all injured). Not sure if Broadhead is still eligible as well, as he was born in 98.

Love the U21’s, they even have a Welshman (Grangetown actually), as captain

Without our Anglo Welshmen we would no hoppers, and Ashley Williams has without doubt been our best ever Anglo leading us to our best ever tournament result.

Hopefully one of Brooks, Ampadu or James can overtake him on this front.

Another shoot-out defeat for Wales u-19s today after a 2-2 draw with Norway. A big rotation of players and the four City lads started on the bench but Isaak Davies came on and got his second goal in two games.

Just a shame he missed out on a cap for his own country.
I think one cap for your real National team is worth any amount from another.
He cost Welsh football players caps, which is selfish and egotistical. Should have been man enough to politely decline, like Ben Turner and Shawcross.
Oh, and he’s a complete ****, which doesn’t help either.
Hope he plays for the Wurzels, we can show him our appreciation.

Just think that without him, you would possibly have never seen your national side reach the Euro semi finals.

So it’s OK for a 2nd rate Englishman to Captain Wales?
Each to their new wn I guess.

So would you have traded a Euro semi final for Williams to have never played for Wales?
