Carl Beech , fake child abuse victim BBC 2 now
made up allegations of systematic abuse from MPs , murder , sex abuse rings in Parliament
But it was all lies
Conned so many peoples lives including journalists , police officers etc
Leon Britton and Ted Heath were accused of being a child sex abuse ring
And it was all lies
Britton was never my favourite politician but he wasn't a sex offender
Re: Carl Beech , fake child abuse victim BBC 2 now

I agree.
Whatever your views on Proctors politics ( which definitely weren't yours or mine Sludge, too right wing for me, so definitely too far to the right for you!) he was treated scandalously.
Not Tom Watson's finest moment. He got this badly wrong.

Tom Watson used these lies for political purposes , which is a disgrace
Proctor was a gay man who was into consensual sex with other men
He wasn't a child abuser

This is a tricky area but I just don't think that we should be naming people before they have stood trial.
I understand the argument that the naming of alleged sex offenders means more victims may come forward and strengthen the case. But surely keeping them anonymous until guilty prevents the creation of more victims - in this case the people with false allegations against them.
I suppose it is a case of what is more important; securing convictions or protecting the innocent.

He's been found guilty of lying about the abuse he suffered and was guilty of possessing thousands of indecent images of children
He is in prison
