I think it probably needs to grow, as the number of laws and their responsibilities have grown massively since its inception.
I personally think 12 million should be spent elsewhere, and more effectively , and I'm sure after the extra add on' s such as expenses, accomodation uplift extra support staff , wages , the cost would spiral past 12 million .
What would you spend it on and how? I just feel to run a country of 3+million you need more than 60 people, Northern Ireland has 90 members and Scotland has 131. A Plaid member resigned last week as she couldn't cope with the workload with a 6 month year old and nobody was available to job share, it'll take months for her replacement to be found and up to speed. I'd like to think stuff like this could be avoided with a larger pool of politicians.
