Christiano Ronaldo off the mark
Scored in first half injury time for Man Utd.

I'm more of a Leonard Messi man

Re: Christiano Ronaldo off the mark
Going for his hat-trick now.

Re: Christiano Ronaldo off the mark
I'm shocked he's scored two, dodgy signing 🙄

Re: Christiano Ronaldo off the mark

Some times in life you just have to choose a side.
Messi / Ronaldo
Oasis / Blur
Blue / Red
Caroline Street / Chippy Lane

It was more a comment on Mike's spelling of the name of one of the most famous footballers in the world but for the record:
Messi
Both
Blue
Chip Alley :yikes:

Absolutely!
What an inspiration to the younger players at the club.

Re: Christiano Ronaldo off the mark
He is a natural talent and the best I've seen .
He has broken so many records it's hard to absorb , in many leagues and on the international stage.

As for Ronaldo. He has to be bionically augmented!

Re: Christiano Ronaldo off the mark
In Horse Racing parlance what would Ronaldo’s stud fee be to cover a mare??? 💴💴💴

He obviously does have natural talent, but isn't the remarkable thing about ronaldo that he has immense work rate in terms of making the most of every bit of his talent? And keeping his fitness to the maximum level he possibly can.

Re: Christiano Ronaldo off the mark
Let's stop this nonsense.
It's Caroline Street. A hill I am willing to die on.
It's neither Blur or Oasis... James were and are a MUCH better band.
Oh and Messi, of course. But Ronaldo is an incredible athlete who keeps himself in incredible condition, reminds me of our own Lee Tomlin. :hehe:

Can you imagine being a young player and training and playing with United while Ronaldo is there?
Just incredible.
Whether you like him or not, he is an amazing role model for young players who can base their whole approach to football on.

Have to say, my opinion on him has changed in the last few years. He seems less petulant than he was. He'd be absolutely amazing for any youngster at the same club - and probably pretty good for the 30+ players too.

The adolescents are level now, Manchester down to 10 men.

Re: Christiano Ronaldo off the mark
Young Boys with a 95th minute winner.

One more comment actually on this game, which completely turned on Aaron Wan-Bissaka's 35th-minute red card.
United didn't have a single shot on or off target after the 25th minute. They only saw 30.7% of the ball in the second half.
It was a fully deserved win for Young Boys.
United equal their club Champions League record of three consecutive defeats, set from December 2004 to March 2005. BBC live text.
Quote:
2 - Manchester United managed just two shots in this match, the fewest Opta have on record in any of their 138 UEFA Champions League matches since 2003-04. Their second and final shot of the match came in the 25th minute from Cristiano Ronaldo. Stalled. Opta stats.
Was it the case that Young Boys were back in the game 10 minutes before the red card of were Man United in control and then lost it because of the red card? Difficult to tell on stats alone.

:hehe: I'm not bitter about his time here, I just don't think he's good enough to manage that squad.
