This will have big repercussion within the rich and powerful circles within Malta and beyond, a deal must have been cut for such a short sentence .
A brave lady saw a memorial to her in Malta a few years back.
BBC Report reads:
"One of three men accused of assassinating investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia in Malta in 2017 has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty.
Vincent Muscat admitted involvement on Tuesday in the car bombing that killed the reporter.
Many suspect it was ordered by top Malta establishment figures.
Called a "one-woman Wikileaks", Caruana Galizia uncovered networks of corruption in the country and abroad."

I find the northern part better as it's less busy. Bugibba. It's a bit rundown though but it has a charm. I always say it's like a warm Porthcawl. :hehe:

Sliema was the first place I ever visited abroad, back in 1980. To this day I still find the Maltese to be amongst the most friendly people I've ever met and I've travelled a lot since then.

I find most people friendly, but Paris and Cairo stand out as places where the locals were positively not friendly.

Possibly true but it's worth going to those places because of the sights. The Egyptian Museum is awe-inspiring and Paris has ummm ....... the Euros 2016 ! What a memory.
