I'm still running High Sierra. Does the job fine.
spent all day Thursday installing Big Sur on a 2012 ( which is unsupported, so it was a bit of a faff ) I picked up for very cheap, changed the HD to SSD, ripped out the DVD drive and put the old 500 gig HD in its place, will either flip it or maybe let my mum have it for FaceTime , its a minter though, always had a case and keyboard over on, not retina though, but the screen is still decent
still got to upgrade High Sierra to Big Sur on the 2015 MBP my daughter is taking to Uni
