I agree, any right back we sign would, presumably, be brought in as cover for Osai-Tutu and I reckon any one out of Gunter, Adam Matthews or Keiron Freeman would be okay for that role.
Gunter can still do a job in the Championship. He was fine at the end of last season.
With the amount we have saved on wages with the signings going. I’m amazed we were not in for him.
In fact there’s a few players in that Charlotte squad I wouldn’t mind having here.
Someone on twitter made the joke that Charlton are looking to rename their stadium Y Cwm.
Gunter is an exceptional professional and a solid championship player. Somedays I spend 5 minutes wondering what would have happened if we could combine Gunter's professionalism and love for the game with Darcy Blake's natural talent.
